Abstract
Jumlah pasien DM terus mengalami peningkatan setiap tahunnya. Hal tersebut akan menimbulkan persaingan ketat antar rumah sakit dalam memberikan sebuah pelayanan. Pelayanan yang diberikan oleh penyedia jasa seperti rumah sakit harus sesuai dengan keinginan dari pasien. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif fenomenologi sehingga didapatkan makna. Ungkapan psikologis pasien terdiri dari perasaan dan pandangan. Informan pada penelitian ini adalah pasien yang menderita diabetes melitus tipe 2. Pasien berusia antara 40-50 tahun dan pernah melakukan perawatan lebih dari 3 kali kunjungan ke rumah sakit. Hasil dari implikasi pada penelitian ini pihak rumah sakit harus dapat memahami keinginan dan kemauan dari pasien untuk meningkatkan kualitas layanan di rumah sakit.
English Abstract
The number of patient with Diabetes Mellitus is increasing every year. This condition will lead an intense competition in public service among the hospital. The service provided by the hospital should be based on the wish of the patient. The method of this research was a qualitative with phenomenological approach in order to obtain the meaning of life. The psychological expression of the patient consist of their feeling and their point of view. The age range of the patient was between 40-50 years old. The patient must have more than three times visit to the hospital. The result of the implication of this research was the hospital should be able to understand the desire and willingness of patient to improve the service quality.
