Abstract

Kebiasaan makan yang menuju ke sajian siap saji dapat mengakibatkan terbentuknya radikal bebas dalam tubuh sehingga muncul beragam penyakit degeneratif seperti hipertensi. Faktor resiko penyakit hipertensi antara lain penyakit jantung koroner, myocard infark, stroke, dan gagal ginjal. Upaya untuk mengendalikan tekanan darah adalah dengan memberikan intervensi jus campuran buah pepino dan belimbing yang mengandung kalium dan antioksidan tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh pemberian jus campuran pepino dan belimbing terhadap penurunan tekanan darah sistolik dan diastolik subyek yang mengalami hipertensi. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan Randomized Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design dengan metode Simple Random Sampling pada 2 kelompok. Besar sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yaitu 9 subyek pada masing-masing kelompok. Kelompok perlakuan diberikan jus campuran buah pepino dan belimbing 175 ml dengan kandungan kalium 1099.065 mg dan vitamin C 76.11 mg selama 7 hari, sedangkan kelompok kontrol tidak diberikan intervensi. Asupan lemak dan natrium diambil dengan metode 2x24h recall. Analisis yang digunakan untuk karakteristik subyek adalah Kolmogorov-Smirnov dan Mann-whitney . Hasil analisis dengan menggunakan Paired T-test menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan tekanan darah sistole dan diastole sesudah intervensi, sedangkan hasil analisis dengan menggunakan Independent T-test menunjukkan terjadi perbedaan penurunan tekanan darah sistole setelah intervensi. Jus campuran buah pepino dan belimbing efektif dalam menurunkan tekanan darah.

English Abstract

The human habit of leading for fast food was caused formed by free radical in the body until variant of degenerative diseases appear like hypertension. The risk factor of hypertension will caused degenerative disease like coronary heart disease, myocard infark, heart, stroke, and renal failure.The efforts for control the blood preassure is gived pepino fruit and starfruit mixed juice that contain high pottasium and antioxidant.This research purposed as know as gived the pepino fruit and starfruit mixed juice about blood pressure of systolic and diastolic decrease subject that get hypertension. Design of research used Randomized Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design and method by Simple Random Sampling with 2 group. Number of sample used Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) that 9 subject in 2 group. Group of intervention put up pepino and startfruit mix juice contain 1099.065 mg of potassium and 76.11 mg of vitamin C as long as 7 days, whereas control of group without gift the mixed juice. Fat and sodium intake was taken by 2x24 h recall method. Analysis of the characteristic subject is Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Mann-whitney. The result of Paired T-test showed that significant differencial of sistole and diastole blood pressure after intervention, wheares the result of Independet T-test showed decrease differencial of sistole and diastole blood pressure after intervention. Pepino and starfruit mixed juice provided effective for decrease subject of hypertention blood pressure.
