Abstract
Desa Kalangbret yang berada di Kabupaten Tulungagung, JawaTimur merupakan salah satu sentra industri batik yang dikenal sejak lama. Pada wilayah ini banyak di temui rumah-rumah lama milik pengusaha Batik Kalangbret yang memiliki fungsi hunian-usaha, karena industri Batik Kalangbret merupakan industrir umah tangga. Adanya aktivitas usaha produksi batik menyebabkan rumah-rumah tersebut memiliki pola tata ruang yang berbeda di bandingkan rumah yang hanya berfungsi sebagai hunian saja. Proses produksi batik setiap rumah dapat berbeda-beda, tergantung pada kelengkapan ruang-ruang yang di miliki untuk menampung proses produksi tersebut. Pada skala bangunan, yakni pada bangunan utama yang berfungsi sebagai hunian, ditemukan dua jenis pola tata ruang, yaitu rumah yang menggunakan pola tata ruang rumah Jawa dan pola tata ruang rumah gaya parisan. Adanya dua jenis pola tata ruang pada skala bangun anini menunjukkan adanya pengaruh budaya local setempat. Rumah-rumah lama yang dibangun sebelum tahun 1948 tidak memiliki ornament batu belah pada bagian selubung luar bangunan yang dimiliki rumah yang dibangun setelah tahun 1948. Ornamen tersebut menunjukkan hubungan kekeluargaan dan identitas pemilik rumah yang merupakan seorang pengusaha Batik Kalangbret. Perkembangan arsitekur yang pesat mulai mengaburkan identitas lokal yang dimiliki pada bangunan-bangunan lama tersebut, sehingga perlu dilakukan penelitian mengenai pola tata ruang pada rumah-rumah lama milik pengusaha Batik Kalangbret.
English Abstract
Kalangbret village which located in Tulungagung, East Java is one of the industrial centers of batik is known since long. In this region there are many old houses owned by businessman Batik Kalangbret which has the function of residential - business, because Batik Kalangbret is a home-based industry.Batik production activity causing different spatial patterns than the house that only serves as a residential course. Batik production process of each house can vary, depending on the completeness of the spaces owned to accommodate the production process. On the scale of the building, which is in the main building that serves as a shelter, found two types of spatial patterns, namely homes that use spatial pattern of Javanese house and spatial patterns of Parisan Style house. The existence of two types of spatial patterns on the scale of the building shows the influence of the local culture. Old houses built before 1948 do not have a stone ornaments on the sides of the building envelope owned homes built after 1948. The ornament shows kinship and identity of the owner of the house who is an owner of Batik Kalangbret industry. Rapid development of architecture which began to blur local identities held on the old buildings, so it is necessary to do research on spatial patterns in old houses owned by the owners of Batik Kalangbretindustry.
