Pengaruh Pemberian Vitamin D terhadap Peningkatan Kadar Hemoglobin pada Mencit Model Ulcerative Colitis (UC).

Pradita, Refeny Meirine (2019) Pengaruh Pemberian Vitamin D terhadap Peningkatan Kadar Hemoglobin pada Mencit Model Ulcerative Colitis (UC). Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.

Abstract

English Abstract

The disease of Ulcerative Colitis (UC) found clinical manifestations of anemia which is signed by the decrease of hemoglobin. Moreover, the management of Ulcerative Colitis is very limited, especially on anti-inflammatory medicine. However, Ulcerative Colitis sufferer are founded that the rate of vitamin D was decreased. Thus, Vitamin D has a relationship with regulation of inflammatory cytokines and the process of erythropoiesis. This research is aimed to prove that vitamin D treatment has an increasing rate of hemoglobin on mice role model of UC. An experimental study using randomizes post-test only control group design was conducted onto male mice (BALB/c). The samples of 21 mice are selected by randomized sampling and divided into three groups, those are negative control group (normal), positive control group (UC model), and treatment group (UC model and treated with vitamin D dose of 0.2 μg / 25 gBB / day). The variable measured was the level of hemoglobin by the blood test. The results showed that the hemoglobin level of the negative control group was 14.13 g / dL, the positive control group was 12.14 g / dL, the treatment group was 13.86 g / dL. Result of this research indicated that the treatment of Vitamin D on the UC model has shown significant different (P= 0,001). The conclusion of this research is that there is an increase in haemoglobin levels in UC that given vitamin D therapy.
