Abstract
Diabetes Melitus adalah penyakit metabolisme kronis yang ditandai dengan peningkatan kadar glukosa dalam darah sebagai akibat organ pankreas tidak mampu memproduksi hormon insulin sesuai kebutuhan tubuh atau terjadi resistensi terhadap hormon insulin. Diabetes Melitus yang diinduksi oleh streptozotocin terjadi karena adanya kerusakan sel β pankreas melalui mekanisme stres oksidatif. Diabetes Melitus diketahui dapat terjadi pada hewan terutama anjing dan kucing. Yoghurt susu kambing fortifikasi bekatul beras merah dapat digunakan sebagai terapi DM dikarenakan mengandung antioksidan yang tinggi serta mengandung banyak serat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh yoghurt susu kambing fortifikasi tepung bekatul beras merah terhadap kadar glukosa darah dan trigliserida pada tikus putih yang diinduksi streptozotocin. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan 20 ekor tikus putih (Rattus norvegicus) strain Wistar jantan umur 8-12 minggu dengan berat badan 130-200 gram dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok dengan 4 ulangan, yaitu K- (kontrol negatif), K+ (kontrol positif yang diinduksi Streptozotocin), P1, P2, dan P3 merupakan kelompok terapi yoghurt susu kambing fortifikasi tepung bekatul beras merah 4% dengan volume pemberian 1 mL, 2 mL, dan 3 mL selama 14 hari. Induksi streptozotocin diberikan sebanyak 45mg/kgBB sekali pemberian. Analisis data secara kuantitatif menggunakan uji statistik ANOVA dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Tukey α = 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terapi yoghurt susu kambing fortifikasi tepung bekatul beras merah dapat menurunkan kadar glukosa darah dan trigliserida. Volume pemberian sebanyak 2 mL merupakan volume pemberian yang efektif untuk menurunkan kadar glukosa darah dan trigliserida sebanyak 75,3 % dan 63,3%
English Abstract
Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease characterized by increased levels of calcium in the blood because the pancreatic organs are unable to produce the hormone insulin according to the body's needs or there is resistance to insulin. Streptozotocin induced Diabetes Mellitus occurs due to pancreatic β cell damage by stress oxydative. Diabetes Mellitus can occur in Cats and Dogs. Goat milk yogurt fortified with red rice bran can be used as stz therapy which contains many antioxidants and lots of fiber. This study aims to determine the effect of goat milk yogurt fortification of brown rice bran flour on blood glucose levels and triglycerides in white rats induced by streptozotocin. This study used a completely randomized design with 20 male white rats (Rattus norvegicus) Wistar strain aged 8-12 weeks with a weight of 130-200 grams divided into 5 groups with 4 repetitions, namely K1 (negative control), K2 (positive control, untreated diabetic rats), P1, P2, and P3 were the treatment groups of goat milk yogurt fortified with 4% red rice bran with a volume of 1 mL, 2 mL, and 3 mL for 14 days. Induction of streptozotocin given as much as 45 mg / kg body weight once given. Analysis using quantitative data analysis using ANOVA statistical tests and continued with Tukey test α = 0.05. The results showed that goat milk yogurt therapy fortified red rice bran flour can reduce blood glucose and triglyceride levels. The volume of administration of 2 mL is an effective volume to reduce blood glucose and triglyceride levels by 75.3% and 63.3%.
