Abstract
Asap rokok adalah radikal bebas yang dapat meningkatkan kadar glukosa darah. Selain radikal bebas, kadar glukosa juga dapat meningkat karena kehamilan. Peningkatan kadar glukosa darah oleh radikal bebas dapat dicegah dengan antioksidan eksogen. Antioksidan eksogen diperoleh dari makanan seperti buah-buahan. Salah satu buah yang mengandung antioksidan adalah jambu biji merah. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk membuktikan pengaruh jus jambu biji merah (Psidium guajava) terhadap penurunan kadar glukosa darah tikus putih (Rattus norvegicus) bunting yang terpapar asap rokok dengan desain eksperimental murni pre and post test control group. Subjek penelitian adalah tikus putih 2-3 bulan sebanyak 25 ekor. Penelitian dibagi menjadi Kontrol negatif (K-), kontrol positif (K +), Perlakuan 1 (P1) dosis 1,4 ml/200grBB/hari, Perlakuan 2 (P2) dosis 2,8 ml/200grBB/hari dan Perlakuan 3 (P3) dosis 5,6 ml/200grBB/hari. Rata-rata kadar glukosa darah pre-test K- (85,2 ± 4,21) mg/dl, K+ (86,6 ± 7,73) mg/dl, P1 (83,8 ± 4,55) mg/dl, P2 (85,6 ± 3,84) mg/dl, dan P3 (85,2 ± 8,61) mg/dl. Rata-rata kadar glukosa darah post-test K- (105,4 ± 8,56) mg/dl, K+ (125,2 ± 12,85) mg/dl, P1 (102 ± 7,90) mg/dl, P2 (98,6 ± 3,57) mg/dl, dan P3 (97,6 ± 6,80) mg/dl. Analisis One Way Anova pre-test menunjukkan hasil yang tidak signifikan (p>0,05) pvalue=0,967. Sementara post-test menunjukkan hasil yang signifikan (p<0,05) pvalue=0,000 sehingga disimpulkan bahwa jus buah jambu biji merah mampu mencegah peningkatan kadar glukosa darah tikus putih bunting yang terpapar asap rokok dengan dosis 1,4 ml/200grBB/hari (rata-rata kadar glukosa darah: 102 ± 7,90 mg/dl)
English Abstract
Cigarette smoke is a free radical that can increase blood glucose levels. In addition to free radicals, glucose levels can also increase due to pregnancy. Increased blood glucose levels by free radicals can be prevented by providing exogenous antioxidants. Exogenous antioxidants can be obtained from foods such as fruits. One fruit that contains antioxidants are red guava fruit. The purpose of the study was to prove the effect of red guava juice (Psidium guajava) on decreasing blood glucose levels in white rats (Rattus norvegicus) pregnant exposed to cigarette smoke with pure experimental design of Pre and Post Test Control Group Design. Research subjects were rats aged 2-3 months as many as 25 rats. The subjects is divided into negative controls (K-), positive control (K+), Treatment 1 (P1) dose of 1.4 ml/200grWeight/day, Treatment 2 (P2) dose 2.8 ml/200grBB/day and Treatment 3 (P3) dose of 5.6 ml/200grBB/day. The mean blood glucose levels of pre-test are K- (85.2 ± 4.21) mg/dl, K+ (86.6 ± 7.73) mg/dl, P1 (83.8 ± 4.55) mg/dl, P2 (85.6 ± 3.84) mg/dl, and P3 (85.2 ± 8.61) mg/dl. The mean blood glucose levels of post-test are K- (105.4 ± 8.56) mg/dl, K+ (125.2 ± 12.85) mg/dl, P1 (102 ± 7.90) mg/dl, P2 (98.6 ± 3.57) mg/dl, and P3 (97.6 ± 6.80) mg/dl. The One Way Anova analysis of pre-test showed insignificant results (p>0.05) p-value = 0.967. While post-test showed significant results (p<0.05) pvalue = 0.000. So it is concluded that guava juice can prevent elevated blood glucose levels in white rats pregnant exposed to cigarette smoke with a dose of 1.4 ml/200grBB/day (mean of blood glucose: 102 ± 7.90 mg/dl).
