Permatasari, Regina Safitri (2018) Pengaruh Pemberian Bawang Hitam Terhadap Kadar Mda Serum Pada Tikus Putih (Rattus Norvegicus Strain Wistar) Jantan Yang Diberi Diet Tinggi Lemak Dan Fruktosa. Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.
Abstract
English Abstract
One of the characteristics of metabolic syndrome is dyslipidemia. Dyslipidemia results in a lipid peroxidation process that can produce MDA compounds. The content of s-allycysteine, polyphenols and flavonoids in black garlic can suppress lipid peroxidation so as to prevent MDA levels. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of black garlic on MDA levels in white rats (Rattus norvegicus Strain Wistar) males fed with high fat and fructose diet. This study was a true experimental study with post test control group design. This study used 25 rats divided into 5 groups, negative group (K1) fed with normal diet + aquades feeding tube, positive group (K2) fed with normal diet + HFFD feeding tube + aquades feeding tube, P1 group fed with normal diet + HFFD feeding tube + black garlic feeding tube dose 240 mg , P2 group fed with normal diet + HFFD feeding tube + black garlic feeding tube dose 480 mg and group P3 fed with normal diet + HFFD feeding tube + black garlic feeding tube dose 960 mg. Serum MDA levels were measured using thiobarbituric acid-reactive substance (TBARS) method. Based on data analysis using One-Way ANOVA test, K1 group was 288 ± 12.82 ng / mL, K2 314 ± 18.62 ng / mL, P1 323 ± 25.51 ng / mL, P2 313 ± 24.41 ng / mL, P3 331 ± 38 , 36 ng / mL. In conclusion, dosing of black garlic for 14 days has not been able to prevent elevated MDA serum levels.
