Abstract

Remaja putri memiliki risiko lebih tinggi mengalami anemia, yaitu keadaan menurunnya kadar hemoglobin dalam darah kurang dari normal. Penurunan kadar hemoglobin dapat memengaruhi daya konsentrasi belajar serta mengganggu pertumbuhan dan perkembangan pada remaja. Penurunan kadar hemoglobin dapat terjadi karena kurangnya asupan makanan sumber zat gizi vitamin A dan vitamin E. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara asupan vitamin A dan vitamin E terhadap kadar hemoglobin pada remaja putri di SMA Negeri 5 Kota Malang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah analitik observasional dengan desain penelitian cross sectional. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling dengan total 64 responden yang merupakan remaja putri SMA Negeri 5 Kota Malang. Data asupan makanan sumber vitamin A dan vitamin E responden diperoleh dengan kuisioner Semi Quantitative-Food Frequency Questionnaire (SQ-FFQ) dan kadar hemoglobin diketahui dengan metode Cyantmethemoglobin. Analisis data menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson. Hasil kuesioner menunjukkan seluruh asupan vitamin A responden sesuai anjuran sedangkan asupan vitamin E sebagian besar kurang dari anjuran. Rata-rata kadar hemoglobin responden tergolong normal. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan antara asupan vitamin A dan vitamin E terhadap kadar hemoglobin pada remaja putri di SMA Negeri 5 Kota Malang.

English Abstract

Adolescent girls have higher risk of anemia, that is a condition of decreased hemoglobin levels less than the normal value. Decreased hemoglobin levels can affect the concentration of learning as well as interfere with growth and development in adolescents. One of the risk factors for decreased hemoglobin levels is lack of vitamin A and vitamin E intake. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between vitamin A and vitamin E intake on hemoglobin levels in female adolescents in SMA Negeri 5 Kota Malang. Type of this research is observational analytic with cross sectional research design. Sampling technique using purposive sampling with 64 female adolescents respondents from SMA Negeri 5 Kota Malang. Dietary intake of vitamin A and vitamin E respondents were obtained using Semi Quantitative-Food Frequency Questionnaire (SQ-FFQ ) and hemoglobin levels are known by Cyanmethemoglobin method. Data analysis of this research using Pearson correlation test. The results of the quisionnaire showed that most intake of vitamin A respondents is quite appropiate as recommended, while most intake of vitamin E is classified as less than a recommendation. The average hemoglobin level of all respondents was normal. Results of this study showed that no corellation between vitamin A and vitamin E intake to hemoglobin levels in female adolescents in Senior High School 5 Malang City.
