Abstract
Home industry tempe di Kecamatan Blimbing, Kota Malang merupakan salah satu usaha yang berpotensi terhadap ketidakpastian atau risiko usaha. Risiko yang dihadapi oleh pengusaha tempe adalah risiko pasar dan risiko produksi. Adanya risiko tersebut dapat menyebabkan pendapatan yang diperoleh pengusaha tempe akan berkurang. Sehingga tingkah laku pengambilan risiko sangat penting untuk dilakukan oleh seorang entrepreneur karena hal tersebut dapat bermanfaat sebagai sarana pengembangan usaha. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah: (1) Mengidentifikasi sumber - sumber risiko pada usaha tempe di Kecamatan Blimbing, (2) Menganalisis tingkat risiko pada usaha tempe di Kecamatan Blimbing, (3) Menganalisis tingkat risiko terhadap perilaku pengusaha tempe di Kecamatan Blimbing. Data yang digunakan merupakan data primer yang dimbil dari kegiatan wawancara pada 24 responden pengusaha tempe di Kecamatan Blimbing, Kota Malang. Data tersebut dianalisis menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif untuk menjawab tujuan pertama. Selain itu data juga dianalisis menggunakan metode Coefisien Variasi (CV) dan Batas Bawah (L) untuk menjawab tujuan kedua dan menggunakan metode N-M Bernoulli untuk menjawab tujuan ketiga. Hasil dari penelitian ini dapat diketahui bahwa pada usaha tempe di Kecamatan Blimbing, Kota Malang terdapat sumber-sumber risiko yang menimbulkan kerugian usaha yaitu risiko pasar dan risiko produksi. Risiko pasar yang sangat berisiko diantaranya: a) harga bahan baku kedelai fluktuatif, b) permintaan tempe fluktuatif, c) sisa penjualan tempe. Sedangkan risiko produksi diantaranya: a) perubahan cuaca yang ekstrim, b) kualitas kedelai yang tidak baik, c) ruang fermentasi yang kurang baik. Setelah dianalisis menggunakan metode Coefisien Variasi (CV) dan Batas Bawah (L) dapat dibuktikan bahwa usaha tempe tersebut berpeluang terhadap risiko. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari nilai Koefisien Variasi (CV) sebesar 0,91 dan nilai Batas bawah (L) -234.414,15, dimana nilaiii tersebut sesuai dengan kriteria pengukuran risiko apabila CV > 0,5 atau L < 0 maka usaha tersebut dapat dikatakan berisiko. Sedangkan analisis perilaku pengusaha dalam menghadapi risiko menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar responden berperilaku netral terhadap risiko (Risk Neutral) yaitu sebesar 58,33%. Sehingga hipotesis kedua yang menyatakan bahwa perilaku pengusaha tempe di Kecamatan Blimbing, Malang berkriteria Risk Averter di tolak. Apabila dilihat hubungannya dengan pendapatan maka dapat dijelaskan bahwa responden yang berperilaku Risk Neutral memperoleh rata-rata pendapatan yang paling tinggi, sedangkan responden yang berperilaku Risk Lover justru memperoleh rata-rata pendapatan yang paling rendah. Hal tersebut berbeda dengan teori dalam buku Soekartawi yang menyatakan bahwa semakin besar pendapatan yang diterima oleh produsen, maka akan cenderung berperilaku menerima risiko (Risk Lover)
English Abstract
. Tempe home industry in Blimbing Sub-district, Malang City is one of the potential that is uncertainty or business risk. The risks faced by tempe entrepreneurs are market risk and production risk. The existence of these risks can reduce income of tempe entrepreneurs. So the behavior of risk taking is very important for an entrepreneur because it can be useful as a means of business development. The purpose of this research are: (1) To identify risk sources at tempeh business in Blimbing sub-district, (2) to analyze risk level to tempe business in Blimbing sub-district, (3) to analyze risk level to tempe entrepreneur behavior in Blimbing sub-district. The data that used was the primary data from the 24 respondents of tempeh entrepreneurs in Blimbing sub-district, Malang. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistical analysis to answer the first objective. In addition the data were also analyzed by the Coefficient of Variation (CV) and Lower (L) method to answer the second objective and used the Bernoulli N-M method to answer the third objective. The result of this research show that tempe Home industry in Blimbing Sub-district, Malang City there was sources of risk that cause business loss there were market risk and production risk. The market risks include: a) fluctuating soybean meal prices, b) fluctuating demand, c) remaining tempe sales. While production risks include: a) extreme weather changes, b) poor soybean quality, c) poor fermentation space. After analyzed using Coefficient of Variation (CV) and Bottom (L) method, it can be proven that the tempe Home industry was risky business. The value of the coefficient of variation (CV) of 0.91 and the value of the lower limit (L) -234.414,15, where the value was in accordance with risk measurement criteria when CV> 0.5 or L <0 then the business were risky. While the behavior analysis of entrepreneurs showed that most respondents behave neutrally to risk (Risk Neutral) that was equal to 58,33%. So the second hypothesis that the behavior of tempe Home industry in District Blimbing oniv Malang that risk averter was rejected. Based on respect to income it can be explained that the respondents who behave Risk Neutral obtain the highest average income, while respondents who behave Risk Lover have the lowest average income. This result was different from the theory of Soekartawi which explain that the greater income received by producers, it will tend to behave accept risk (Risk Lover).
