Abstract
Pengukuran lingkar pinggang terbukti dapat mendeteksi obesitas sentral dan sindroma metabolik bersamaan peningkatan kadar trigliserida, kolesterol darah, glukosa darah, dan tekanan darah dengan ketepatan cukup tinggi. Diketahui asam lemak trans mempunyai pengaruh yang lebih buruk dari asam lemak jenuh sehingga berisiko lebih terhadap penyakit kardiovaskular. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui hubungan lingkar pinggang dan asupan lemak trans dengan kadar kolesterol total darah pada pasien diabetes melitus (DM) tipe 2. Desain penelitian adalah cross sectional dengan jumlah sampel 53 pasien DM tipe 2 rawat jalan di Poliklinik Penyakit Dalam RSUD Dr. Saiful Anwar Malang. Data karakteristik dan pola konsumsi asupan lemak trans diperoleh dari formulir Semi Quantitatif Food Frequency melalui wawancara. Data kadar kolesterol total diperoleh dengan melihat hasil laboratorium. Hasil lingkar pinggang 18,9% responden laki-laki tidak berisiko dan 37,7% responden perempuan pasti berisiko. Asupan lemak trans responden 0-3,49 gram dengan rata-rata 0,5 gram. Kadar kolesterol total darah 56,6% responden normal. Ditemukan korelasi positif, namun tidak berhubungan antara lingkar pinggang dengan kadar kolesterol total darah pasien DM tipe 2 ( Pearson’s, r=0,139; p=0,321). Korelasi positif juga pada asupan lemak trans dengan kadar kolesterol total darah, namun tidak berhubungan ( Spearman, r=0,078; p=0,576). Begitu pun asupan lemak trans dengan lingkar pinggang berkorelasi positif, namun tidak berhubungan ( Spearman, r=0,087; p=0,534). Kesimpulan penelitian adalah tidak terdapat hubungan antara lingkar pinggang dan asupan lemak trans dengan kadar kolesterol total darah pasien DM tipe 2.
English Abstract
Measurement of waist circumference is proven to detect central obesity and metabolic syndrome simultaneously elevated triglyceride levels, blood cholesterol, blood glucose, and blood pressure with relatively high accuracy. Trans fatty acids are known to have a worse effect than saturated fatty acids so that the risk of cardiovascular disease. This study aims to determine the correlation of waist circumference and trans fat intake with total blood cholesterol levels in patients with diabetes mellitus (DM) type 2. The study design was cross-sectional sample of 53 type 2 diabetes mellitus patients in Internal Medicine Polyclinic RSUD Dr. Saiful Anwar Malang. Data collection characteristics and patterns of consumption of trans fat intake derived from Semi Quantitative Food Frequency form through interviews. While the data obtained with total cholesterol levels see lab results. Results waistlines get 18.9 % of male respondents and 37.7 % are not at risk of female respondents definitely risky. Fat intake 0 to 3.49 grams of trans respondents with an average intake of 0.5 grams. Total blood cholesterol levels normal 56.6% of respondents. Found a positive correlation, but not significant between waist circumference associated with total blood cholesterol levels of patients with type 2 diabetes (Pearson s, r=0.139 , p=0.321). Positive correlations also in trans fat intake with total blood cholesterol levels, but not significantly related (Spearman, r=0.078 , p=0.576). So, even trans fat intake was positively correlated with waist circumference, but not significantly related (Spearman, r=0.087 , p=0.534). Research conclusion is that there is no relationship between waist circumference and trans fat intake with total blood cholesterol levels of patients with type 2 diabetes.
