Abstract
Menyikat gigi merupakan kegiatan preventif dalam menjaga kesehatan gigi dan mulut yang paling mudah dilakukan Waktu yang dianjurkan untuk menyikat gigi adalah setelah sarapan pagi dan sebelum tidur malam. Terdapat berbagai macam metode menyikat gigi. Metode menyikat gigi yang paling dianjurakan untuk anak usia 6 – 12 tahun adalah metode roll. Metode roll adalah metode yang paling sering dianjurkan karena sederhana namun efisien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh menyikat gigi dengan menggunakan metode roll terhadap nilai indeks kebersihan mulut OHI-S. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain praeksperimental dengan pendekatan one group pretest posttest . Jumlah sampel dari penelitian ini adalah 36 sampel yang dipilih secara total sampling. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar kuesioner, lembar penilaian OHI-S, kartu kontrol menyikat gigi, leaflet, kaca mulut, sonde halfmoon, masker, handscoon, phantom, dan larutan disclosing agent. Berdasarkan uji statistika t berpasangan dengan tingkat kemaknaan pvalue < 0,01 didapatkan hasil p = 0.000. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh menyikat gigi dengan menggunakan metode roll terhadap indes kebersihan mulut OHI-S pada siswa kelas 5 MI Hasyim Asy’ari Malang
English Abstract
Brushing teeth is a preventive activity in maintaining teeth and oral health that easily done. The recommended time to brush your teeth is after havng breakfast and before going to bed at night. There are various methods of brushing teeth . The most recommended Brushing method for children 6 -12 years old is a roll method . Roll method is the most frequently method recommended because it is simple but efficient . This Aim of The study is to determine the effect of brushing tooth using a roll method for the value of oral hygiene index OHI - S . This study used a pre experimental design by one group pretest posttest approach . The samples number of this study were 36 samples selecting by total sampling . The instrument of this study is a questionnaire , assessment sheets OHI - S , toothbrushing control cards , leaflets , mouth mirror , sonde halfmoon , masks , handscoon , phantom , and the agent disclosing solution . Based on statistical paired test with a significance level of p - value < 0.01, The Result is p = 0.000. The conclusion of this study is There is effect of brushing Teeth by using the roll method For oral hygiene Index OHI - S In the 5th grade Students of MI Hasyim Asy’ari Malang
