Abstract
Kepatuhan minum obat pada lansia dengan hipertensi sangat penting, berfungsi untuk mengontrol tekanan darah dan mencegah komplikasi hipertensi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh edukasi media booklet terhadap kepatuhan minum obat pada lansia dengan hipertensi di Puskesmas Kendalsari Kota Malang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pre eksperimental design dengan pendekatan one group pretest-posttest design yang dilakukan pada lansia dengan hipertensi di Puskesmas Kendalsari Kota Malang. Alat ukur data berupa kuisioner Morisky Medicaton Andherence Scale (MMAS-8). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya pengaruh edukasi media booklet terhadap kepatuhan minum obat pada lansia dengan hipertensi di Puskesmas Kendalsari Kota Malang ditunjukkan dengan nilai signifikansi 0,04 maka nilai p-value > α (0,05). Sebelum diberikan edukasi, kepatuhan lansia dengan hipertensi yang memiliki kepatuhan sedang sebanyak 7 responden (19%), kepatuhan tinggi 12 responden (33%), dan 17 responden memiliki kepatuhan rendah (47%). Setelah diberikan edukasi, didapatkan bahwa 4 orang kepatuhan sedang (11%), 10 responden memiliki rendah (28%), 22 responden memiliki kepatuhan tinggi (61%). Kepatuhan minum obat pada lansia dengan hipertensi dapat ditingkatkan dengan pemberian edukasi menggunakan media booklet. Saran pemanfaatan media booklet dapat digunakan dalam strategi pendidikan kesehatan pada lansia.
English Abstract
Medication adherence among elderly patients with hypertension is highly important as a function of controlling blood pressure and preventing complications of hypertension. This study was aimed to find out the effects of the use of booklet media in health education on the medication adherence among elderly patients with hypertension in Kendalsari Primary Healthy Care Malang. This study used Pre- Experimental design with one group pretest-posttest design approach that was conducted to the elderly patients with hypertension in Kendalsari Primary Healthy of Malang. The data-measuring instrument was in the form of questionnaire, which was Morisky Medication Adherence Scale (MMAS-8). The results of this study showed that there was an effect of the use of booklet media for health education on the medication adherence among elderly patients in Kendalsari Primary Healthy Care of Malang, reaching the significance value of 0.04 and p-value > α (0,05). Prior to the implementation of education, it was found that there were 7 respondents with medium medication adherence (19%), 12 respondents with high medication adherence (33%), and 17 respondents with low medication adherence (47%). However, after being educated, there were 4 respondents with medium medication adherence (11%), 10 respondents with low medication adherence (28%), and 22 respondents with high medication adherence (61%), Adherence of medication to the elderly with hypertension can be increased by providing education using booklet media. Recommendations for the use of booklet media can be used in health education strategies for the elderly.
