Abstract
Kinerja karyawan merupakan pencapaian kerja karyawan yang diharapkan dapat mendukung tercapainya keberhasilan organisasi. Ada berbagai faktor yang dapat menyebabkan kinerja karyawan menjadi lebih baik, dua diantaranya adalah persepsi dukungan organisasi atau perceived organizational support (POS) dan keterikatan karyawan atau employee engagement. Penelitian ini difokuskan untuk mengetahui hubungan perceived organizational support (POS) terhadap kinerja karyawan dengan employee engagement sebagai variabel intervening pada PT. Pos Indonesia Kota Madiun. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah explanatory research dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Variabel dalam penelitian ini meliputi perceived organizational support (POS), employee engagement, dan kinerja karyawan. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini sejumlah 62 orang dengan teknik cluster sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini yaitu pengumpulan data primer dengan menyebar kuesioner dan pengumpulan data sekunder dengan mendokumentasikan arsip organisasi dan pustaka tertulis sebagai referensi. Peneliti menggunakan teknik hierarchical regression analysis dengan SPSS versi 21 untuk menganalisis data. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa variabel perceived organizational support (POS) memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap employee engagement, variabel perceived organizational support (POS) memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan, variabel employee engagement memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan, dan employee engagement memediasi hubungan antara perceived organizational support (POS) terhadap kinerja karyawan.
English Abstract
Employee performance is the work achievement of employees that is expected to be able to support the achievement of organization’s success. There are varians factors that can lead to a better employee performance, two of which are the perceived organizational support (POS) and employee engagement. This research is focused to reveal relationship perceived organizational support (POS) on employee performance with employee engagement as intervening variable at PT Pos Indonesia Kota Madiun.The type of this research is explanatory research with quantitative approach. The variables of this research are perceived organizational support (POS), employee engagement, and employee performance. The sample of this research consist of 62 people chosen by cluster sampling technique. Data collection techniques applied in this research are primary data collection by distribution the questionnaire and seondary data collection by documentary the archives of the organization and related literature as a reference. The researcher uses hierarchical regression analysis technique with SPSS v.21 to analyze the data. The result of the analysis shows that perceived organizational support (POS) variable has positive and significant effect on employee engagement, perceived organizational support (POS) variable has positive and significant effect on employee performance, employee engagement variable has positive and significant effect on employee performance, and employee engagement mediates the relationship between perceived organizational support (POS) on employee performance.
