Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan yang terdiri dari tiga variabel, yaitu kebutuhan berprestasi, kebutuhan kekuatan, dan kebutuhan hubungan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada perusahaan swasta yang bergerak di bidang logistik yaitu PT. DHL Global Forwarding berlokasi Gempol, Sidoarjo, Jawa Timur. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian penjelasan (explanatory research). Dalam penelitian ini, digunakan responden sebanyak 37 karyawan dengan metode sensus. Uji yang digunakan untuk menguji instrument penelitian berupa uji validitas dan uji reliabilitas, alat analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kebutuhan berprestasi, kebutuhan kekuatan, dan kebutuhan hubungan berpengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan. Variabel independent yang paling besar mempengaruhi kinerja karyawan adalah kebutuhan hubungan. Besarnya koefisien determinasi (R2) menunjukkan kebutuhan berprestasi, kebutuhan kekuatan, dan kebutuhan hubungan menjelaskan variasi kinerja karyawan sebesar 92,8%.
English Abstract
The objective of this study is to identify the influence of work motivation on the three variables of employee performance, i.e. the need for achievement, the need for strength, and the need for relationship. This study was held in PT. DHL Global Forwarding, a private company working in logistics located in the district of Gempol, regency of Sidoarjo, in East Java. The respondents of this explanatory research are 37 employees selected using census method. The instruments of this study were assessed using validity and reliability test. The data of this study were analyzed through multiple linear regression analysis. The results show that the need for achievement, the need for strength, and the need for relationship influence employee performance, in which the lastmentioned variable gives the dominant influence. The R-squared value shows that all three variables influence 92.8% of employee performance.
