Abstract

Tanah lempung ekspansif merupakan jenis tanah yang memiliki sifat kembang susut yang sangat tinggi, akibat perubahan kadar air dalam tanah. Mengembangnya tanah lempung ekspansif ini disebabkan oleh bertambahnya kadar air pada tanah dan diikuti oleh kenaikan tekanan air pori dan timbulnya tekanan pengembangan dan sebaliknya apabila kadar air berkurang akan terjadi penyusutan yang cukup tinggi. Pada saat kadar air bertambah maka daya dukug tanah berkurang sebaliknya jika kadar air berkurang maka daya dukung tanah akan meningkat. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan perbaikan tanah lempung ekspansif dengan menggunakan metode deep soil mixing berpola triangular dengan diameter kolom 5 cm yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan nilai daya dukung. Metode deep soil mixing merupakan metode pencampuran dengan bahan aditif pada tanah untuk meningkatkan stabilitas tanah. Jenis aditif yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah flyash hal ini dikarenakan penambahan flyash pada tanah ekspansif mampu meningkatkan daya dukung tanah. Pada penelitian ini digunakan 9 variasi jarak dan kedalaman kolom berupa variasi jarak antar kolom (5, 6.25, 7.5 cm) dan variasi kedalaman kolom (5, 10, 15 cm). Hasil dari stabilisasi tanah lempung ekspansif menggunakan metode deep soil mixing berpola triangular dengan diameter kolom 5 cm menunjukkan peningkatan nilai daya dukung hingga 270% dari daya dukung tanah asli. Stabilisasi menggunakan bahan aditif 15% fly ashpada metode DSM berpola triangular dapat mengurangi nilai pengembangan (swelling) seiring dengan bertambahnya volume tanah yang distabilisasi. Prosentase tanah yang terstabilisasi sebesar 26,18 % telah mampu menghentikan pengembangan (swelling) tanah asli.

English Abstract

An expansive clay soil types have flowers shrinkage properties are very high, due to changes in moisture content in the soil. The expansion of the expansive clay is caused by increased levels of water in the soil and is followed by an increase in pore water pressure and the onset of development pressure and vice versa if the water content is reduced shrinkage will occur is high enough. By the time the water content increases, reduced soil dukug power versa if the water content is reduced, the carrying capacity of the land will increase. In this research, improvement of expansive clay using a triangular patterned deep soil mixing columns with a diameter of 5 cm which aims to increase carrying capacity. Deep soil mixing method is a method of mixing with additives to the soil to improve soil stability. Types of additives used in this study is flyash this is because the addition of flyash on expansive soil can improve soil bearing capacity. In this study used nine variations of distance and depth of field in the form of variations in the distance between the columns (5, 6:25, 7.5 cm) and the column depth variation (5, 10, 15 cm). The results of the stabilization of expansive clay soil deep mixing using a triangular pattern with a diameter of 5 cm column shows the increase in carrying capacity of up to 270% of the carrying capacity of the native land. Stabilization using additive 15% fly ashpada triangular patterned DSM method can reduce development value (swelling) due to the increasing volume of soil stabilization. Percentage of soil stabilized at 26.18% has been able to stop the development (swelling) native land.
