Abstract
Persaingan dalam era globalisasi menuntut perusahaan untuk meningkatkan kinerja karyawannya. Salah satu tantangan bisnis saat ini adalah bagaimana menciptakan perusahaan dengan pengelolaan yang efektif dan produktif, dimana ketergantungan suatu perusahaan pada sumber daya manusia yang semakin bermutu tinggi akan semakin besar. Pelaksanaan pelatihan pelatihan telah terbukti mampu menjaga dan meningkatkan kualitas karyawan yang sangat berdampak pada kinerja. Selain pelatihan, komitmen organisasional merupakan elemen penting yang mempengaruhi kinerja karyawan. Penelitian ini meruapakan exsplanatory yang bertujuan untuk, menguji pengaruh peran mediasi komitmen organisasional terhadap pelatihan dan kinerja karayawan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh karyawan bagian produksi unit Dairy Farm 1 PT. Greenfields Indonesia yang telah bekerja lebih dari 2 tahun dan sudah pernah memperoleh pelatihan (training) dari perusahaan berjumlah 182 karyawan. Dengan perhitungan rumus Slovin, jumlah sampel yang diambil dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 90 karyawan. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode survei langsung dengan instrumen kuisioner. Untuk selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan metode dan teknik analisis Partial Least Square (PLS) – Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan terhadap kinerja karyawan, pelatihan terhadap komitmen organisasional, komitmen organisasional terhadap kineja karyawan, serta peran mediasi komitmen organisasional terhadap pelatihan dan kinerja karyawan mempunyai pengaruh positif dan signifikan.
English Abstract
Competition in the era of globalization requires companies to improve employee performance. One of the current business challenges is creating a company with effective and productive management; the companies’ dependency on better human resource quality becomes higher. Trainings are proven able to maintain and improve the quality of employees, which greatly improves their performance, while organizational commitment is an important element affecting employee performance. This explanatory research aims to measure the mediating role of organizational commitment in the influence of training on employee performance. The population of this research is all 182 production employees of Dairy Farm 1 unit of PT. Greenfields Indonesia. Using Slovin formula, 90 employees who have been working for more than 2 years and have received trainings were selected as the sample. The data of this study were obtained from a direct survey using questionnaire and were analiyed using Partial Least Square (PLS)-Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) The results show that the influences of training on employee performance, training on organizational commitment, organizational commitment on employee performance, and the mediating role of organizational commitment in the influence of training on employee performance are all positive and significant.
