Hubungan Asupan Makronutrien dengan Kadar Vitamin D Pasien DM Tipe 1 di RSUD Dr. Saiful Anwar Kota Malang

Saputra, Andanu Bima (2020) Hubungan Asupan Makronutrien dengan Kadar Vitamin D Pasien DM Tipe 1 di RSUD Dr. Saiful Anwar Kota Malang. Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.

Abstract

World Diabetes Foundation (WDF) maupun International Society for Pediatric and Adolescent ISPAD.

English Abstract

Diabetics Type 1 DM have macronutrient intake that is incompatible with the World Diabetes Foundation (WDF) and International (Society for Pediatric and Adolescent) ISPAD recommendation. Patients with Type 1 diabetes have 25 (OH) D levels lower than healthy children. Low vitamin D levels participate in complications. This study aims to determine the relationship of macronutrient intake with vitamin D levels in type 1 DM patients. The design observational analytic study is cross-sectional. This research was conducted at RSSA, and FK UB in January 2019 until April 2019. Research results on 32 Type 1 DM respondents aged 5-18 years showed that all respondents had less protein intake (18%), less carbohydrate (41%) and fat intake more than the recommendation (41%). All respondents (100%) had vitamin D levels in the deficiency category (≤20 ng / mL). No significant relationship was found from protein intake to vitamin D levels (P = 0.186), fat intake to vitamin D levels (P = 0.311) and carbohydrate intake to vitamin D levels (P = 0.822). The conclusion of the study is that food intake only contributed 10% to changes in Vitamin D levels.
