Abstract

Penderita hipertensi di seluruh dunia mencapai hampir 1 miliar, 2/3 dari jumlah tersebut merupakan penderita di negara berkembang. Prevalensi tertinggi penyakit tidak menular di Indonesia adalah hipertensi (34,1%). Ketidakpatuhan diet adalah masalah utama pada penderita hipertensi. Penyebab ketidakpatuhan dalam diet salah satunya disebabkan oleh kurangnya pengetahuan dan efikasi diri. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan diet hipertensi menggunakan media sosial Whatsapp terhadap pengetahuan dan efikasi diri penderita hipertensi. Desain penelitian adalah quasy experiment pre-post test with control group. Populasi penelitian adalah penderita hipertensi di Puskesmas Janti dan Puskesmas Pandanwangi Kota Malang. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Jumlah sampel kelompok perlakuan 18 responden dan kelompok kontrol 18 responden, total keseluruhan sampel 36 responden. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Analisa statistik menggunakan uji statistik Mann Whitney untuk variabel pengetahuan dan uji statistik independent t-test untuk variabel efikasi diri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan pengetahuan antara kelompok perlakuan dan kelompok kontrol (p-value = 0,934; α = 0,05), tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan efikasi diri antara kelompok perlakuan dan kelompok control (p-value = 0,805; α = 0,05). Kesimpulan berdasarkan hasil penelitian yaitu tidak ada pengaruh signifikan pendidikan kesehatan diet hipertensi menggunakan media sosial Whatsapp terhadap pengetahuan dan efikasi diri penderita hipertensi. Saran: pendidikan kesehatan menggunakan Whatsapp tetap harus dikombinasikan dengan pendidikan kesehatan tatap muka secara berkelanjutan.

English Abstract

People with hypertension worldwide reach nearly 1 billion, 2/3 of this amount were sufferers in developing countries. The highest prevalence of non-communicable diseases in Indonesia was hypertension (34.1%). Diet noncompliance was a major problem in people with hypertension. One of the causes of disobedience in the diet is caused by the lack of knowledge and self-efficacy. The purpose of this study was to determined the effect of hypertension diet health education using Whatsapp sosial media on the knowledge and self-efficacy of patients with hypertension. The design of this research was a quasy experiment pre-post test with control group. The study population were patients with hypertension in Puskesmas Janti and Puskesmas Pandanwangi in Malang City. Techniques of sampling used purposive sampling. The sample of experiment group were 18 respondents and the control group were 18 respondents, the total sample of this study were 36 respondents. Knowledge and self-efficacy were assesed by questionnaire. Statistical analysis used the Mann Whitney for knowledge variables and independent t-test for self-efficacy variables. Results showed there was no significant difference in knowledge between the experiment group and the control group (p-value = 0,934; α = 0,05), there was no significant difference in self-efficacy between the experiment group and the control group (p-value = 0,805; α = 0,05). The conclusion based on the results of the study is that there is no significant effect of hypertension diet health education using Whatsapp sosial media on the knowledge and self-efficacy of patient with hypertension. The recommendation of this study is health education using Whatsapp must still be combined with face-to-face health education, continously.
