Abstract
Representasi kelas sosial dalam film mean girls (2004) , penelitian kualitatif ini diteliti menggunakan metodelogi penelitian semiotika Carles Sanders Pierce. Yang merujuk pada nalar atau logika peneliti yang didasari oleh tanda. Merujuk pada atribut tokoh , gesture, dan teks terjemahan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodelogi semiotika Carles Sanders Pierce , guna menangkap makna yang dapat dinalarkan atau dapat di masuk dalam logika pemikiran, yang terdapat dalam tanda. Penelitian ini juga dimaksudkan untuk dapat mengartikan dan memberi makna kepada sebuah konteks sosial. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa, sebuah tanda, atribut, gesture dan text narasi dapat menghasilkan sebuah cara untuk mengidentifikasikan identitas kelas sosial seseorang. Peneliti juga menemukan faktor faktor pembentuk identitas kelas sosial yang tidak lepas dari elemen yang ada pada tiap tiap individu atau karakter dalam film. Melalui tanda dan bahasa, mengidentifikasi identitas kelas sosial seseorang, peneliti menemukan konsep – konsep pemetaan dan pengelompokan baru berdasarkan faktor dan konsep yang selama ini sudah ada
English Abstract
Representation of social class in the film Mean Girls (2004), this qualitative study was examined using Carles Sanders Pierce's semiotic research methodology. by a sign. Refers to character attributes, gestures, and translated text. This study uses Carles Sanders Pierce's semiotics methodology, to capture the meaning that can be reasoned or can be entered into the logic of thought, contained in the sign. This research is also intended to be able to interpret and give meaning to a social context. The results of this study indicate that, a sign, attribute, gesture and narrative text can produce a way to identify a person's social class identity. Researchers also found the factors forming social class identity that can not be separated from the elements that exist in each individual or character in the film. Through signs and language, identifying a person's social class identity, researchers discover new mapping and grouping concepts based on factors and concepts that have already existed.
