Penelitian Ini Bertujuan Untuk Mengetahui Efek Pemberian Ekstrak Rimpang Rumput Teki (Cyperus Rotundus) Terhadap Pertumbuhan Mycobacterium Tuberculosis Secara In Vitro. Penelitian Ini Menggunakan Metode True Eksperimental Dengan Design Post-Test Control Design Only. Penghitungan Penelitian Menggunakan Metode Proporsi Resistensi. Dari Hasil Penelitian Didapatkan, Mycobacterium Tuberculosis Yang Diujikan Resisten Terhadap Ketiga Konsentrasi Dengan Proporsi Resistensi Terkecil Yaitu 11.7% Pada Konsentrasi 75 Μg/Ml. Hasil Dari Uji Normalitas Shapiro-Wilk Didapatkan Nilai Sig P=0.629 (P>0,05). Uji Homogenitas Levene Menunjukkan Nilai Sig P=0,838 (P>0,05). Hasil Uji Komparatif One-Way Annova Didapatkan Nilai Sig P=0,00 (P<0,05), Yang Berarti Signifikan. Berdasarkan Penelitian Tersebut, Dapat Disimpulkan Bahwa Ekstrak Rimpang Rumput
English Abstract
Tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Globally, in 2017, there were 10 million cases of TB incidence and 558,000 cases were resistant to rifampicin, and 82% of cases needed MDR-TB treatment. More affordable adjuvant therapy such as the extract of the nut grass’ rhizomes are required. Research shows that majority of the components were flavonoids and alkaloids in this plant, which function as an antimicrobial. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of giving nut grass’ rhizomes extract (Cyperus rotundus) to the growth of Mycobacterium tuberculosis in vitro. This study uses the true experimental method with post-test control design only. The calculation of the study uses the method of resistance proportion. From the results of the study, it was found that Mycobacterium tuberculosis was resistant to the three concentrations given , with the smallest resistance proportion of 11.7% at a concentration of 75 μg / ml. The results of the Shapiro-Wilk normality test obtained sig p = 0.629 (p> 0.05). The Levene homogenity test showed sig value p = 0.838 (p> 0.05). One-way Annova comparative test results obtained sig p = 0.00 (p <0.05), which means significant. Based on these studies, it can be concluded that the nut grass’ rhizome extract has less potent anti-bacterial activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
