Abstract
Penelitian ini membahas tentang perubahan dynamic of contention dari Gerakan 212. Dimana terdapat dinamika dari politik perseteruan yang terjadi dalam Aksi Bela Islam yang semula terjadi karena tuduhan penistaan agama yang dilakukan oleh Basuki Purnama, kini berkembang menjadi sebuah gerakan sosial yang sering disebut oleh masyarakat sebagai Gerakan 212. Meskipun pada bulan Mei 2017 telah ditutup, namun Gerakan 212 ini masih mengadakan reuni hingga tahun 2018 dan masih memiliki berbagai peran hingga Pemilihan Umum 2019. Metodologi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif, dengan pembahasan naratif deskriptif. Dalam pembahasan Gerakan 212 mengalami beberapa episode perubahan yang dimulai sejak awal gerakan yang menjadi episode pengantar yakni adanya mobilisasi terhadap masyarakat yang dipermudah karena adanya faktor simbolik keagamaan, kemudian dalam episode pertama yakni terdapat upaya pemenangan Anies Baswedan dengan politik identitas melalui framing identitas pemimpin Islam di Indonesia yang kemudian memberikan kemenangan pada Anies Baswedan hingga menghasilkan DKI Jakarta sebagai kota paling intoleran 2017. Kemudian pada episode kedua terdapat scale shift yakni ketika Habib Rizieq Shihab akan ditangkap karena kasus pornografi, yang dianggap oleh masyarakat sebagai provokasi. Dengan episode ketiga mengenai upaya pemenangan Prabowo Subianto dengan membawa sentimen yang sama dengan Pilgub DKI Jakarta 2017, yakni permasalahan agama. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah masyarakat Indonesia masih sangat mudah untuk dimobilisasi, khususnya melalui politik identitas menggunakan symbolic goods seperti agama dan Al Quran, ditambah dengan adanya public enemy yaitu Basuki Purnama yang membuat gerakan 212 sangat massif ketika berusaha untuk memenjarakan Basuki Purnama yang dianggap menistakan Agama Islam. Partisipasi Politik masyarakat melalui dunia maya atau yang biasa disebut Netizen sangat perlu untuk dianggap serius, karena bahkan polarisasi sangat kuat menyebar melalu media sosial seperti whatsapp dengan cara penyebaran hoaks dan penyebaran framing yang sesuai dengan paham salah satu kubu
English Abstract
This study discusses the change in the dynamic of contention of Gerakan 212. Where there was a dynamic of the political feud that occurred in the Islamic Defensive Action which originally occurred because of accusations of blasphemy carried out by Basuki Purnama, it has now developed into a social movement that is often referred to by the community as a Movement 212. Even though it was closed in May 2017, the 212 Movement is still holding a reunion until 2018 and still has various roles until the 2019 Election. The methodology used in this research is qualitative, with descriptive narrative discussion. In the discussion the Movement 212 experienced several episodes of change that began from the beginning of the movement which became an introductory episode namely the mobilization of the people facilitated by religious symbolic factors, then in the first episode there was effort to win Anies Baswedan with identity politics through framing about the identity of Islamic leaders in Indonesia which later gave victory to Anies Baswedan to produce DKI Jakarta as the most intolerant city of 2017. Then in the second episode there was a scale shift happened when Habib Rizieq Shihab would be arrested for pornography, which was considered by Gerakan 212 as a provocation. With the third episode regarding the bid to win Prabowo Subianto with the same sentiment as the Pilgub DKI Jakarta 2017, namely the issue of religion. The results of this study are that Indonesian are still very easy to mobilize, especially through identity politics using symbolic goods such as religion and Holy Quran, plus Basuki Purnama added as a public enemy. In which makes the Gerakan 212 very massive when trying to imprison Basuki Purnama who is considered to do a blasphemy for Islam. Participation Politics of society through cyberspace or commonly called Netizens is very necessary to be taken seriously, because even very strong polarization spreads through social media such as whatsapp by distributing hoaxes and distributing framing according to the understanding of what the politician wants
