Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh motivasi karyawan terhadap Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) serta perbedaan preferensi motivasi dan perbedaan pengaruh motivasi karyawan terhadap Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) antara Gen-X dan Millenials. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah explanatory research dengan penelitian komparatif dan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah kuesioner dan dokumentasi tertulis. Variabel dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari variabel bebas dan terikat. Variabel bebas pada penelitian ini adalah motivasi karyawan (X), sedangkan variabel terikat adalah organizational citizenship behavior (Y). Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 65 responden dari PT Temprina Media Grafika Surabaya yang dipilih secara random menggunakan teknik pengambilan sampel cluster sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan preferensi motivasi karyawan antara karyawan Gen-X dan Millenials. Variabel motivasi karyawan (X) memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap organizational citizenship behavior (Y) pada karyawan Gen-X dan juga Millenials. Hasil penelitian selanjutnya yaitu terdapat perbedaan pengaruh motivasi karyawan (X) terhadap organizational citizenship behavior (Y) antara karyawan Gen-X dan juga Millenials, begitu juga dengan sikap organizational citizenship behavior yang mendominasi masing-masing generasi.

English Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the influence between motivation and Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) also the difference of motivational preferences and difference of the motivation influence on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) among Gen-X and Millenials. The type of this research is explanatory research with comparative study using quantitative approach. Data collection methods are using questionnaire and written documentation. Variables in this research consists of independent variable and dependent variable. Employee motivation as independent variable and Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) as dependent variable. The sample used in this research were 65 respondents from employees of PT Temprina Media Grafika Surabaya that randomly selected used cluster sampling technique. The result showed that there is a difference of motivation preference among Gen-X and Millenials employees. Employee motivation variable have significant influence toward Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) of Gen-X and also Millenials. The next result, showed that there is a difference of motivation influence on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) among Gen-X and Millenials, and also difference of the dominant Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) on each generation.
