Abstract
English Abstract
Corn is the second staple food by most Indonesians. The highest corn production in 2016 in Indonesia is in East Java. East Java Province is one area that has the potential and opportunities as a national food barn. The corn production centers in East Java in 2015 are Tuban Regency, Jember Regency, Sumenep Regency, Kediri Regency and Blitar Regency. Corn production centers in Kediri one of them located in Pare District. Agricultural potential in Pare sub-district is rice and second plant after rice. The often cultivated second plant after rice is sweet corn. Sweet corn is a commodity that demand is always there and the price is more expensive than ordinary corn. The problems faced by farmers in Pare district are the number of sweet corn seeds in circulation that have been produced by seed companies in Indonesia that have not known farmers satisfaction based on the importance and level of performance. In addition, the types of seed brands that circulate in the market make it difficult for farmers to decide on the purchase of products to be planted, so farmers decide to follow the farmers who have managed to plant for fear of losing if trying new seeds. This will affect the farmer's satisfaction later. Based on this background, the objectives of this research are (1) to analyze suitability between level of importance and performance level of attribute of sweet corn seed product in Pare district. (2) To analyze the level of satisfaction of farmers on the attributes of sweet corn seed products in Pare district, Kediri Regency. Analytical methods used are among others (1) Importance Performance Analysis (IPA), and (2) Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI). The whole analysis is done with the help of Microsoft Excel 2016 and SPSS version 16. The result of the suitability between the level of performance and the level of importance by using the IPA analysis, the attribute of seeds of sweet corn brand Talenta there are 3 attributes that need to be improved which become the main priority (quadrant I) is plant resistance to pests, plant resistance to disease, and quantity of production. Satisfactory attributes are in quadrant II such as size / weights of cob, thickness / thinness of fruits, age of crop harvest and chimpanzee saving endurance needs to be maintained. Quadrant III has a low priority there are the attributes of the color of sweet corn seeds and the shape of corn crops. Attributes in the IV quadrant such as the full end cob attribute and the packaging weight are referred to as excess attributes.
