Abstract
Osteoartritis merupakan penyakit degeneratif dan progresif yang sering menimbulkan disfungsi sendi dan otot sehingga akan mengalami keterbatasan gerak, penurunan kekuatan dan keseimbangan otot serta kehilangan kapasitas kerja yang berakibat pada penurunan kualitas hidup. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara nyeri pada osteoartritis lutut dengan kualitas hidup penderitanya. Jenis penelitian ini adalah observational study dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara menggunakan kuisioner WHO ILAR COPCORD dan MHAQ yang sudah dimodifikasi. Sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 2067 orang yang merupakan penduduk Kota Malang, Jawa Timur. Sampel yang menderita OA lutut berjumlah 296 orang (14.32%), 277 (93.6%) diantaranya mengalami nyeri dan 19 orang (6.4%) tidak. Dari 277 penderita OA lutut dengan nyeri, 198 orang (66.9%) mengalami penurunan kualitas hidup dan 79 orang (26.7%) memiliki kualitas hidup normal. Dari 19 orang penderita OA lutut yang tidak nyeri, 4 orang (1.4%) kualitas hidupnya menurun dan 15 orang (5.1%) kualitas hidupnya normal. Terdapat perbedaan antara kualitas hidup pada penderita OA lutut yang mengalami nyeri dengan yang tidak (P<0.001). Terdapat hubungan berbanding terbalik antara nyeri dengan kualitas hidup penderita OA lutut (r= -0.265). Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa semakin tinggi intensitas nyeri maka semakin rendah kualitas hidup penderitanya.
English Abstract
Osteoarthritis is defined as degenerative and progressive disease which is characterized by abrasion of the cartilage and irregular bony changes of the joints which leads to a limitation of motion, reduction of muscle strength and balance as well as loss of working capacity, and in consequence of this is a decreased quality of life. This research aims to figure out the relationship between pain in OA of the knee with the quality of life. This research was an observational study used cross-sectional methode. The data were collected by interview used WHO ILAR COPCORD and MHAQ as questionnaire. The sample of this research is residents in Malang, East Java, which is approximately 2067 people. Samples who were suffering from knee OA is 296 people (14:32%), out of the total sample, 277 (93.6%) had painful knee and 19 people (6.4%) did not. Out of the 277 patients with painful knee, 198 (66.9%) of them experienced their quality of life had been decreased, and 79 people (26.7%) had normal quality of life. Out of the 19 patients with knee OA who stated their knee is not painful, 4 people (1.4%) experienced their quality of life had been decreased, while the other 15 (5.1%) had normal quality of life. There is a difference between the QoL of the patient with pain and without pain (p<0.001). There is a inverse relationship between osteoarthritis of the knee with quality of life of the patient (r= -0.265). Conclusion of this study is that the increased intensity of pain decreased the quality of life.
