Abstract
Menyusui merupakan cara pemberian makanan atau nutrisi ibu kepada bayinya secara optimal. Teknik menyusui memperlukan suatu proses untuk dipelajari. Ketika terjadi kesalahan dalam teknik menyusui ibu, dapat menimbulkan masalah dalam menyusui seperti puting susu lecet, bendungan ASI (Air Susu Ibu), hingga mastitis. Berdasarkan studi pendahuluan yang dilakukan di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Mojolangu Kota Malang didapatkan 70% ibu mengalami masalah dalam menyusuinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pengetahuan ibu mengenai teknik menyusui dengan perilaku menyusui ibu pada dua bulan pertama di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Mojolangu Kota Malang. Penelitian survei analitik dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Sampel dipilih dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling dengan jumlah 56 responden. Pengumpulan data pengetahuan ibu mengenai teknik menyusui dengan menggunakan kuisioner dan data perilaku menyusui ibu pada dua bulan pertama menggunakan checklist. Analisis hasil penelitian menggunakan uji korelasi Spearman Rank (Rho). Data penelitian menunjukan bahwa sebagian ibu (57,1%) memiliki pengetahuan kurang, sebagian kecil ibu (5,4%) memiliki pengetahuan baik, hampir setengahnya (46,4%) memiliki perilaku menyusui baik dan sebagian kecil (25,0%) memiliki perilaku menyusui yang cukup. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara pengetahuan ibu mengenai teknik menyusui dengan perilaku menyusui ibu pada dua bulan pertama (p value = 0,000), dengan nilai koefisien korelasi kuat (0,627), dan arah korelasinya positif. Semakin meningkatnya pengetahuan ibu mengenai teknik menyusui maka semakin meningkat pula perilaku menyusui ibu pada dua bulan pertama.
English Abstract
Breastfeeding is the way feeding or giving mother nutrition to the infant optimally. Techniques for breastfeeding need a concerted process to be studied. When an problem occurs in the mother techniques can cause some problems such as sore nipples, dams of breast milk, up to mastitis. Based on studies conducted in Puskesmas Mojolangu Malang, obtained 70 % woman had a problem in breastfeed. This research aim to determine relation between maternal knowledge about technique breastfeeding with mother breastfeeding behavior in the first two months in Puskesmas Mojolangu Malang City. Analysis survey research with cross-sectional approach. Samples were selected by using purposive sampling with 56 respondents. The collection data of mothers knowledge about breastfeeding techniques using questionair and mother’s breastfeeding behavior in the first two months using check list. The result of analysis using the Spearman Rank (Rho) correlation test. The research data shows that the majority of woman (57.1%) have less knowledge, a part of them (5.4%) have a good knowledge, and almost a half of it (46.4%) have a excellent knowledge of breastfeeding, and the rest of this research (25.0%) have enough behavior about breastfeeding. The result of this research shows that relation between maternal knowledge about technique breastfeeding with mother breastfeeding behavior in the first two months in Puskesmas Mojolangu Malang city (p value = 0.000) with a powerful correlation coeficient (0.627) and the direction of positive correlation. The increasing knowledge of mothers on breastfeeding techniques will be increasing mother breastfeeding behavior in the first two months.
