Abstract

Rokok mengandung berbagai zat berbahaya yang dapat meningkatkan lipolisis dan asam lemak bebas yang menyebabkan perubahan pada profil lipid darah. Nikotin pada rokok merupakan salah satu zat yang mampu meningkatkan kadar kolesterol LDL pada darah dan kemudian berkontribusi dalam kejadian penyakit jantung koroner (PJK) maupun sindroma metabolik lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh latihan renang terhadap kadar kolesterol LDL pada tikus (Rattus norvegicus) galur wistar yang terpapar asap rokok kretek. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi post-test only group design pada tikus putih jantan (Rattus norvegicus) galur wistar yang dibagi dalam 4 kelompok. Kelompok kontrol negatif (K-) tidak terpapar asap rokok dan tidak diberi latihan renang, kelompok kontrol positif (K+) hanya terpapar asap rokok saja, kelompok perlakuan 1 (P1 ) terpapar asap rokok dan diberi latihan renang intensitas ringan, sedangkan kelompok perlakuan 2 (P2) terpapar asap rokok dan diberi latihan renang intensitas berat. P1 yang diberi latihan renang intensitas ringan diikat beban seberat 3% dari berat badan, dan P2 yang diberi latihan renang intensitas berat diikat beban seberat 9% dari berat badan. Setelah 8 minggu, semua kelompok dilakukan pembedahan dan pengambilan darah. Pemeriksaan kadar kolesterol LDL darah menggunakan spektrofotometri dengan mengubah kolesterol menjadi partikel berwarna dan intensitasnya dapat diukur secara fotometrik. Analisa hasil pemeriksaan kadar kolesterol LDL menggunakan metode One Way ANOVA, dilanjutkan dengan uji Post Hoc LSD, dan korelasi yang menunjukkan bahwa latihan renang dengan intensitas ringan dan berat memberikan efek yang signifikan (p<0,05). Hasil penelitian ini adalah latihan renang intensitas ringan dan berat dapat menurunkan kadar kolesterol LDL darah tikus putih jantan (Rattus norvegicus) galur wistar yang terpapar asap rokok kretek.

English Abstract

Cigarettes contain a variety of hazardous substances that may increase lipolysis and free fatty acids which cause changes in blood lipid profile. The nicotine in cigarettes is one substance that can increase levels of LDL cholesterol in the blood and then contribute to the incidence of coronary heart disease (CHD) as well as other metabolic syndrome. This re¬search aims to know the effect of swimming exercise on LDL cholesterol levels in rats (Rat¬tus norvegicus) wistar strain exposed by cigarettes smoke. This research uses the study of post-test only group design using white rats (Rattus norvegicus) male wistar strain which are divided in 4 groups. The negative control group (K-) are not exposed to cigarette smoke and not given the swimming exercise, a positive control group (K +) is only exposed to cigarette smoke, treatment group 1 (P1) are exposed to cigarette smoke and given low intensity swimming exercise, while treatment group 2 (P2) are exposed to cigarette smoke and given high intensity of swimming exercise. P1 are given with low intensity swimming exercise, and the tied load weigh is 3% of body weight, and P2 are given with high intensity swimming exer¬cise and the tied load weigh is 9% of body weight. After 8 weeks, all groups performed surgery and blood taking. Examination of blood LDL cholesterol levels using spectrophotome¬try by changing colored particles and cholesterol The intensity can be meas¬ured in photometric. Analysis of results of examination of the levels of LDL cholesterol me¬thod using One-way ANOVA followed by Post Hoc test (LSD), and the correlation shows that swimming exercise with both low and high intensity give significant effects (p < 0.05). The results of this research is swimming exercise can lower blood LDL cholesterol levels of white male rats (Rattus norvegicus) wistar strain exposed by cigarettes smoke.
