Abstract
Pengukuran persentase lemak tubuh merupakan salah satu metode penilaian status gizi, diantaranya dengan pengukuran skinfold (manual) maupun H-H BIA (digital). Karena kedua pengukuran ini memiliki potensi yang besar untuk penentuan persentase lemak tubuh, peneliti tertarik untuk meneliti perbandingan persentase lemak tubuh antara menggunakan skinfold dengan H-H BIA, sehingga diketahui metode yang sesuai untuk mengukur presentase lemak tubuh pada remaja putri. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasi analitik dengan desain cross sectional . Sampel dipilih secara purposive sampling dengan 99 siswi SMPN berusia 12,58(11,33; 12,95) tahun. Variabel yang diukur adalah pengukuran skinfold ( triceps dan subskapula ) dan H-H BIA. Hasil uji Paired T test menunjukan bahwa ada perbedaan (p < 0,001) antara pengukuran skinfold dengan H-H BIA. Kesimpulannya adalah ada perbedaan yang signifikan (p < 0,001) antara %BF menggunakan skinfold (27,70±5,77) dengan %BF menggunakan H-H BIA (22,82±6,14); status gizi responden (IMT/U) sebagian besar normal (92%), sangat kurus (4%), dan gemuk (4%); %BF menggunakan skinfold sebagian besar normal (63,6%), overfat (19,2%), dan obesitas (17,2%); %BF menggunakan H-H BIA sebagian besar normal (75,7%), underfat (9,1%), overfat (12,2%), dan obesitas (3%). Berdasarkan penelitian ini, disarankan menggunakan H-H BIA untuk pengukuran %BF pada remaja putri, terutama bila dilakukan oleh petugas Usaha Kesehatan Sekolah (UKS) yang berasal dari siswi sendiri.
English Abstract
Measurement of body fat percentage is one method of assessment of nutritional status, such as by measuring skinfold (manual) or H-H BIA (digital). Since both of these measurements have great potential for the determination of the percentage of body fat, researchers interested in studying comparatives percentage of body fat using skinfold between the H-H BIA, so that appropriate known method to measure the percentage of body fat in. This study is observational analytic by cross-sectional design. Samples were selected by purposive sampling with the 99 adolescence girls at Junior High School 12.58 (11.33; 12.95) years. The variables are measured skinfold measurements (triceps and subskapula) and H-H BIA. Paired T test results showed that there was a difference (p < 0.001) between skinfold measurements with H-H BIA. The conclusion was that there was a significant difference (p < 0.001) between% BF using skinfold (27.70±5.77) with% BF using H-H BIA (22.82±6.14); nutritional status of the respondent (IMT/U) partially large normal (92%), very thin (4%), and fat (4%);% BF using skinfold largely normal (63.6%), overfat (19.2%), and obesity (17.2%);% BF using H-H BIA largely normal (75.7%), underfat (9.1%), overfat (12.2%), and obese (3%). Based on this study, it is recommended to use the H-H BIA for the measurement of %BF in adolescence girls, especially when carried out by officers School Health Unit (UKS) is derived from the students themselves.
