Abstract
Resin akrilik dalam kedokteran gigi hingga saat ini masih merupakan pilihan untuk pembuatan gigi tiruan lepasan. Resin akrilik merupakan Polymetil Metacrylate yang memiliki keuntungan, yaitu murah dan proses pembuatan mudah, serta memiliki kerugian, yaitu menyerap cairan yang mengandung asam sehingga mempengaruhi lempeng akrilik. Asam yang bereaksi dengan lempeng akrilik dapat merusak gugus Polymetil Metacrylate sehingga menimbulkan retakan halus atau crazing yang berakibat menurunkan kekuatan impak. Plain yoghurt adalah suatu jenis yoghurt tanpa penambahan bahan lain yang mengandung rasa asam dan merupakan produk fermentasi yang diperoleh dari susu segar dengan biakan Lactobacillus bulgaricus dan Streptococcus thermophilus.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsentrasi plain yoghurt terhadap penurunan kekuatan impak pada lempeng akrilik heat cured. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian true experiment–post test only control group design. Terdapat kelompok kontrol (plain yoghurt 100%) dan lima kelompok perlakuan (plain yoghurt dengan konsentrasi 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, dan 50%). Setiap kelompok terdiri dari lima sampel dengan lama perendaman 15 menit. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Oneway Anova, Post Hoc, Korelasi dan Regresi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin besar konsentrasi plain yoghurt yang digunakan, maka kekuatan impak lempeng akrilik heat cured semakin kecil. Terdapat penurunan kekuatan impak secara bermakna pada konsentrasi 40%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah ada pengaruh konsentrasi plain yoghurt terhadap penurunan kekuatan impak pada lempeng akrilik heat cured.
English Abstract
In dentistry, acrylic resin is the one of good material removable denture. Acrylic resin contains Polymetil Metacrylate has an advantage i.e. cheap and making process easily, and has a disadvantage i.e. absorb a acid liquid that effect acrylic flake. Acid will react with acrylic flake can be damage the chemical groups of Polymetil Metacrylate that cause soft crack or crazing would be decreasing of impact strength. Plain yoghurt is a yoghurt without giving other substance that has acid taste and fermentation product from fresh milk with propagation of Lactobacillus bulgaricus dan Streptococcus thermophilus.The aim of this research to find out the effect of plain yoghurt concentration for decrease impact strength of heat cured acrylic flake. This research is a true experimental–post test only control group design. There are control group (plain yoghurt 100%); and treatment groups (plain yoghurt with the concentration 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%). Each group consist of four samples with the soaking period of 15 minutes. This study was analyzed using statistical Oneway Anova, Post Hoc, Correlation, and Regression.The result of this study showed, bigger plain yoghurt ‘s concentration that is used, smaller heat cured acrylic flake’s impact strength. There are a decrease of impact strength significantly at the concentration is 40%. It can be concluded that there is an influence of plain yoghurt’s concentration for a decrease of heat cured acrylic flake’s impact strength.
