Abstract
Menanamkan pengetahuan tentang kesehatan gigi dan mulut termasuk salah satu program dari pemerintah dalam rangka meningkatkan upaya promotif, preventif dan kuratif pada anak-anak Sekolah Dasar (SD) karena pada usia SD (6-12 tahun) merupakan waktu dimana tumbuhnya gigi tetap. Metode bermain efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan kesehatan gigi dan mulut. Metode bermain lebih dapat mempermudah siswa untuk mengerti tentang isi penyuluhan, metode bermain disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan responden yaitu siswa Sekolah Dasar yang masih senang bermain, banyak bergerak, bekerja dalam kelompok, merasakan dan memeragakan sesuatu secara langsung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh antara metode bermain MOGI (Monopoli Gigi) dan ceramah terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan kesehatan gigi dan mulut siswa kelas 3 dan 4 di SDN Pulo Lor 1 Jombang. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain quasy experimental dengan rancangan penelitian one group pre test–post test desain. Sampel diambil dengan menggunakan total sampel yaitu 72 sampel. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar kuesioner, alat peraga monopoli gigi, poster untuk ceramah dan phantom. Berdasarkan uji t dengan tingkat kemaknaan p value < 0,05 didapatkan hasil p = 0,014. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat perbedaan antara pengaruh metode bermain MOGI (Monopoli Gigi) dan metode ceramah terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan kesehatan gigi dan mulut pada siswa kelas 3 dan 4 SDN Pulo Lor 1 Kabupaten Jombang.
English Abstract
Imparting knowledge of oral health is one of the goverment programs to improve promotive, preventive and curative for elementary school children (6-12 years old), because it is the period when permanent teeth grow. Playing method is effective to improve the knowledge of oral health. Playing method could make the children understand the material easier, because it is adjusted with the respondents need who still very attracted to play, move, work in group, touch and act directly. The objective of this research is to know the effect between playing MOGI (Teeth Monopoly) method and lecture method to improve knowledge of oral health of grade 3rd and 4th SDN Pulo Lor 1 Jombang. This research is using quasy experimental design with one group pre test-post test. Total sample of the research is 72. The instrument of this research is quesioner sheet, a set of MOGI (Teeth Monopoly), poster for lecture and phantom. Based on t test with p value < 0,05 was obtained outcomes p = 0,014. The conclusion is there is a difference between the effect of playing MOGI (Teeth Monopoly) method and lecture method to improve knowledge of oral health of grade 3rd and 4th SDN Pulo Lor 1 Jombang
