Abstract
Pemberian ASI saja hingga usia 6 bulan dapat memenuhi seluruh kebutuhan gizi bayi. Pemberian ASI eksklusif dipengaruhi oleh tingkat pengetahuan ibu dan dukungan suami. Penelitian ini bertujuan membuktikan adanya hubungan tingkat pengetahuan dan dukungan suami terhadap pemberian ASI Eksklusif. Desain penelitian ini adalah deskriptif analitik observasional dengan pendekatan crossectional. Subjek (n = 80 ibu) dipilih dengan cara purposive sampling yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemberian ASI eklusif di wilayah Mangaran Kabupaten Situbondo masih rendah yaitu hanya 35%. Uji korelasi spearmen menunjukkan pemberian ASI eksklusif terbukti berhubungan dengan tingkat pengetahuan ibu (r = 0,709, p =<0,001, RP = 7) dan dukungan suami ( r = 0,735, p = <0,001, RP = 8,83). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah ada hubungan tingkat pengetahuan dan dukungan suami terhadap pemberian ASI Eksklusif. Diharapkan kepada petugas kesehatan agar lebih gencar dalam memberikan edukasi terkait ASI eksklusif serta keikutsertaan para suami/ayah menjadi sasaran penting yang juga perlu diberikan penyuluhan.
English Abstract
Exclusive breastfeeding for 6 months can fulfil all nutritional needs of infants. Exclusive breastfeeding is influenced by the mothers level of knowledge and husband support. This study aims to prove that the correlation of mother’s knowledge and husband support to exclusive breastfeeding. The study design was a descriptive observational analytic with crossectional approach. Subjects (n = 80) selected by purposive sampling is based on inclusion. The results of this study indicate that the practice of exclusive breastfeeding in the region of Mangaran still low at only 35 %. Spearmen correlation indicate that exclusive breastfeeding have correlation with mother’s knowledge (r= 0.709, p= <0.001, RP = 7) and husband support (r = 0.735, p = < 0.001, RP = 8,83). The conclusion of this study is there are correlation between knowledge and support of her husband to exclusive breastfeeding . Health workers are expected to be more intense in providing education related to exclusive breastfeeding and participation of husbands / fathers become an important target that also needs to be given counseling.
