Abstract
Hiperkolesterolemia dan hiperlipidemia merupakan salah faktor penyebab penyakit jantung koroner. Salah satu contoh hiperlipidemia adalah hipertrigliserida. Riset membuktikan bahwa konsumsi serat makanan mempunyai hubungan negatif dengan kolesterol darah, dimana serat makanan dapat menyerap asam empedu sehingga perlu diganti dengan asam empedu baru dari kolesterol persediaan dalam tubuh. Bahan makanan berserat dari jenis serealia contohnya sorgum (Sorghum bicolor L.) dilaporkan mengandung serat total sekitar 7,6-9,2%. Sehingga diharapkan serat pangan yang terdapat di serealia ini mampu menurunkan kadar trigliserida di dalam darah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk Mengetahui pengaruh pemberian tepung sorgum (Sorghum bicolor L.) terhadap kadar trigliserida darah tikus (Rattus norvegicus strain wistar) yang diberi diet aterogenik.Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian Post-test Control Groupyang menggunakan 2 kelompok kontrol yaitu, P0 (kontrol negatif) dan P1 (kontrol positif), serta 3 kelompok perlakuan yang diberi diet aterogenik dan tepung sorgum dengan dosis yang berbeda (P2 = 7g/hari; P3 = 14g/hari; P4 = 28g/hari). Kadar Trigliserida darah dianalisis dengan uji One Way ANOVA dengan tingkat kepercayaan p < 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terjadinya penurunan kadar trigliserida darah secara signifikan, yaitu kelompok perlakuan P1 (72,6±5,94 mg/dl) dengan kelompok P3 (46,8±9,85 mg/dl). Dengan nilai signifikan p = 0,003.
English Abstract
Hypercholesterolemia and hyperlipidemia is one of the causes of coronary heart disease. One of hyperlipidemia is hypertriglyceride. The research shows that consumption of dietary fiber has a negative relationship with blood cholesterol, dietary fiber which can absorb bile acids so it needs to be replaced with new bile acids from cholesterol in the body supplies. Fibrous foodstuffs example of the type of cereal sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L.) fibers are reported to contain a total of approximately 7.6 to 9.2%. So expect the food fiber contained in the cereal can lower triglyceride levels in the blood. The purpose of this research is to Know the effect of sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L.) on blood triglyceride levels rats (Rattus norvegicus Wistar strain) were given the atherogenic diet. The design of this research study Post-test Control Groupthat uses 2 control groups, namely, P0 (negative control) and P1 (positive control), as well as the 3 treatment groups were given the atherogenic diet and sorghum flour with different doses (P2 = 7g/day; P3 = 14g/day; P4 = 28g/day). Blood triglyceride levels were analyzed by One Way ANOVA test with a confidence level of p <0.05. The finding of the research demonstrates that happen triglyceride decrease in blood significantly, ie treatment group P1 (72,6±5,94 mg/dl) with group P3 (46,8±9,85 mg/dl). With significant values p = 0,003.
