Abstract

Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) merupakan salah satu anggota komputer yang menggunakan Integrated controller (IC) ataupun peralatan elektromekanik untuk melakukan fungsinya sebagai kontroler dalam penggunaanya bisa di aplikasikan dalam segala aspek mulai dari bidang laboratorium – bidang industri. Pada rancangan pengujian pemrograman system pengaman pembuangan gas vent stack pada snuffing unit N2 berbasis PLC bertujuan untuk mampu memberikan pembaruan pada sistem pengaman lama pada PT TRANSPORTASI GAS INDONESIA yang masih dilakukan secara manual (open loop) menjadi kontrol otomatis (close loop) dengan memaksimalkan PLC yang sudah ada. PLC dapat digunakan sebagai kontroler dari pengaman pembuangan gas vent stack pada snuffing unit N2 . pada sistem pengaman ini digunakan PLC Siemens dengan tipe S7-300 dan software Simatic Wincc Sebagai tampilan HMI sistem. Pada simulasi dilakukan dengan 4 kondisi dimana yaitu ketika Unit Shutdown GTCP A, Unit Shutdown GTCP B, Station Shutdown dan Manual N2 Snuffing valve. Diantara 4 kondisi tersebut pada Unit Shutdown akan mengeluarkan gas N2 selama 15 menit, Station Shutdown akan mengeluarkan gas N2 selama 30 menit, Station Shutdown akan mengeluarkan gas selama 30 menit dan Manual N2 Snuffing valve akan mengeluarkan gas N2 terus hingga tombol Close ditekan. Pada simulasi program sistem pengaman N2 Snuffing Unit dapat berjalan secara otomatis dan lebih efektif apabila menggunakan kontroler PLC.

English Abstract

Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) is a member of a computer that uses Integrated controller (IC) or electromechanical equipment to perform its functions as a controller in its use can be applied in all aspects ranging from the field of laboratory - industrial field. In the design of programming system testing of exhaust ventilation gas vent stack on snuffing unit N2-based PLC aims to be able to provide updates on the old security system in PT TRANSPORTATION GAS INDONESIA is still done manually (open loop) into an automatic control (close loop) to maximize the PLC already available. PLC can be used as a controller of the safety of exhaust gas vent stack on snuffing unit N2. on this security system used Siemens PLC with type S7-300 and Simatic Wincc software As a HMI system display. In the simulation is done with 4 conditions where that is when Shutdown Unit GTCP A, Shutdown Unit GTCP B, Station Shutdown and Manual N2 Snuffing valve. Among the 4 conditions in the Shutdown Unit will release N2 gas for 15 minutes, Station Shutdown will release N2 gas for 30 minutes, Station Shutdown will emit gas for 30 minutes and Manual N2 Snuffing valve will release N2 gas continues until the Close button is pressed. In the program simulation the N2 Snuffing Unit security system can run automatically and more effectively when using PLC controller.
