Abstract
Dalam ilmu psikologi, kecerdasan lebih dikenal dengan istilah intelegensi. Intelegensi sendiri mengandung arti sebagai sebuah kemampuan individu dalam berpikir, mengingat sesuatu atau memecahkan masalah. Tema mengenai intelegensi atau kecerdasan sendiri sering diangkat ke dalam sebuah karya sastra, salah satunya adalah dongeng Le Chat Botté karya Charles Perrault. Dongeng tersebut mengisahkan tentang seekor tokoh kucing yang memiliki kecerdasan dalam menyelesaikan permasalahannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk kecerdasan yang dimiliki oleh tokoh kucing dalam dongeng Le Chat Botté karya Charles Perrault. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori intelegensi yang dikemukakan oleh Robert J. Sternberg pada tahun 1990 atau yang lebih dikenal dengan sebutan Triarchic Theory. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif karena data atau hasil yang ditampilkan berupa teks deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tokoh kucing memiliki ketiga bentuk kecerdasan sesuai dengan yang terdapat dalam teori intelegensi Robert J Sternberg. Kecerdasan tersebut adalah kecerdasan analitis, kecerdasan kreatif dan kecerdasan praktis yang dipengaruhi oleh tiga aspek yaitu dunia internal, pegalaman dan dunia eksternal. Namun, kecerdasan yang paling dominan yang dimiliki tokoh kucing dalam dongeng Le Chat Botté karya Charles Perrault tersebut adalah kecerdasan analitis. Penulis menyarankan bagi peneliti selanjutnya agar mengkaji mengenai sejarah atau latar belakang ditulisnya dongen Le Chat Botté karya Charles Perrault karena dongeng ini memiliki tema atau jalan cerita yang unik.
English Abstract
In psychology, intelligence means the individual who has the ability to think, memorize, or solve problems. The theme of intelligence is often raised in a literary work, one of which is the tale Le Chat Botté by Charles Perrault. This tale speaks of a cat character who has the intelligence to solve his problem. This research aims to determine the kind of the intelligence that the cat character have in the tale Le Chat Botté by Charles Perrault. This research utilises the theory of intelligence proposed by Robert J. Sternberg in 1990 or known as "Triarchic Theory". This research applies the descriptive qualitative method because the results are presented as descriptive text. The results of this research indicate that the character of the cat has all three forms of intelligence proposed by Robert J Sternberg, which are the analytic intelligence, the creative intelligence and the practical intelligence. These three types of intelligence are influenced by three aspects, they are the inside world, the experience, and the outside world. However, the most dominant intelligence form is the analytic intelligence. The author suggest to the other researchers to examine the story of the writing of the fairy tale le Chat Botte by Charles Perrault because this tale has a particular theme.
