Abstract

Pada penelitian ini menggunakan Bunsen burner dikarenakan pembuatan alat yang juga relatif lebih mudah dengan ukuran luas penampang burner yang sama. Kecepatan api laminer dipengaruhi oleh uap air. Uap air adalah gas yang berasal dari proses pemanasan air (H2O). Disamping itu semakin besar kadar uap air dalam sebuah daerah maka panas yang dihasilkan pembakaran akan semakin tinggi. Maka dari itu perlu dilakukan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh kadar uap terhadap kecepatan api laminer gas LPG. Variabel bebas pada penelitian ini adalah Nilai Equivalence Ratio antara campuran udara dan gas liquefied gas petroleum sebesar: 0.91; 0,97; 1,03; 1,08; 1,23 dan 1,41. Uap air sebesar : 10%; 15%; 17,5%; 20%; 22,5%; 25% dan 30% Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kecepatan api laminer ( SL) bunsen burner, selain itu semakin tinggi equivalence ratio maka kecepatan api laminer (SL) semakin menurun, tinggi api semakin menurun, sedangkan temperatur nyala api meningkat sampai equivalence ratio mendekati 1 kemudian kembali turun seiring kenaikan equivalence ratio. Sementara semakin tinggi equivalence ratio makan kecepatan api laminer (SL) semakin menurun. Semakin besar kadar uap air maka temperatur akan semakin meningkat. semakin besar kadar uap air maka tinggi api akan semakin menurun. Hal tersebut dipengaruhi oleh kadar uap air dimana kadar uap air yang meningkat dapat menghambat kecepatan pembakaran karena uap air memiliki viskositas (kekentalan) molekul yang relatif tinggi yang menyebabkan tinggi api menurun. Semakin besar kadar uap air maka kecepatan api laminar (SL) juga relatif menurun. Hal ini disebabkan oleh kadar uap air yang meningkat akan semakin menghambat laju pembakaran yang berarti menurunkan kecepatan reaktan

English Abstract

In this study using Bunsen burner due to the making of the tool is also relatively easier with the same size area of the burner. The fire rate of laminer is influenced by water vapor. Water vapor is a gas that comes from the heating process of water (H2O). The greater the moisture content in an area the heat generated by combustion will be higher. Therefore it is necessary to conduct a research to determine the effect of steam to LPG laminer flame velocity.The independent variable in this research is Equivalence Ratio value between air mix and liquefied gas petroleum gas equal to: 0.91; 0.97; 1.03; 1.08; 1.23 and 1.41. Water vapor of: 10%; 15%; 17.5%; 20%; 22.5%; 25% and 30% The results showed that the fire rate of laminer (SL) bunsen burner, besides the higher equivalence ratio then the laminer fire speed (SL) decreased, the fire height decreased, while the flame temperature increased until the equivalence ratio close to 1 then back down as the increase of equivalence ratio. While the higher the equivalence ratio of feeding laminer fire speed (SL) decreases. The higher the water vapor level the Temperature will increase. The higher the moisture content of the High Fire will decrease further. This is influenced by the moisture content in which the increased moisture content can inhibit the velocity of combustion because water vapor has a relatively high molecular viscosity (viscosity) that causes the fire height to decrease. The greater the water vapor level then the laminar fire speed (SL) is also relatively decreased. This is caused by increased moisture content will further inhibit the rate of combustion which means lower the rate of reactants.
