Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui, (1) Untuk menjelaskan bagaimana pengaruh University Context terhadap Entrepreneurial Intention pada mahasiswa Universitas Brawijaya Malang, (2) Untuk menjelaskan bagaimana pengaruh University Context dapat Entrepreneurial Education pada mahasiswa Universitas Brawijaya Malang, dan (3) Untuk menjelaskan bagaimana pengaruh University Context terhadap Entrepreneurial Intention melalui Education pada mahasiswa Universitas Brawijaya Malang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penjelasan (explanatory research) dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Objek pada penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa tingkat ahkir (angkatan 2012,2013 dan 2014) di Universitas Brawijaya Malang. Teknik penentuan sampel menggunakan Stratified Random Sampling dengan menggunakan rumus Slovin dan mendapatkan sampel sebanyak 400 responden. Metode analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah menyebar kuisioner penelitian Hasil penelitian ini diketahui bahwa (1) bahwa variabel University Context memiliki pengaruh terhadap Entrepreneurial Education. Nilai koefisien determinasi yang didapatkan sebesar 55.3%, dan analisis Path variabel University Context memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap Entrepreneurial Education. (2) Nilai Koefisien determinasi pada hubungan variabel Entrepreneurial Education terhadap Entrepreneurial Intention didapatkan hasil sebesar 0,366 atau 36,6% sedangkan 63,4% sisanya di sebabkan oleh variabel lainnya diluar penelitian ini. (3) University Context terhadap Entrepreneurial Intention memberikan pengaruh tidak langsung yang lebih besar dari pengaruh langsung (0.144), nilai indirect effect (IE) sebesar 0.365 dan total effect (TE) sebesar 0.509 (0.509>0.144) sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa variabel Entrepreneurial Education memiliki peran sebagai variabel intervening. Hasil yang diperoleh menghasilkan kesimpulan bahwa Universitas merupakan faktor yang mendukung terbentuknya intensi berwirausaha pada diri mahsiswa. Melaui Universitas, pendidikan kewirausahaan diberikan kepada mahasiswa sebagai salah satu metode meningkatkan motivasi yang mampu memicu niat berwirausaha.

English Abstract

This research aimed to find out, (1) to explain how the effect of University Context toward Entrepreneurial Intention in students of Brawijaya University Malang, (2) to explain the university context can be entrepreneurial Education in students of Brawijaya University, Malang and 93) to describe the influence of University Context toward Entrepreneurial Intention through Education in students of University of Brawijaya Malang. This research used explanatory research with quantitative approach. The object of this research was final-students (year of 2012,2013 and 2014) in University of Brawijaya Malang. The technique to determine the sample was Stratified Random Sampling by using formulation of Slovin and it obtained 400 samples of respondents. Data analysis method which was used in this research was by giving research questioner. The result of the research showed that (1) University Context Variable had effect toward Entrepreneurial Education. Determination coefficient value was 55,3% and Path analysis variable of University Context had significant effect toward Entrepreneurial Education. (2) determination coefficient value in variable relationship of Entrepreneurial Education toward Entrepreneurial Intention was obtained 0,366 or 36,6% whereas the rest was 63,4% because of other variables beyond this research. (3) University Context toward Entrepreneurial Intention gave bigger indirect effect that direct ones (0,144), indirect effect value (IE) was 0.365 and total effect (TE) was 0,509 (0.509>0.144). it can be concluded that Entrepreneurial Education variable has role as intervening variable. The result draws the conclusion that University is a factor that support intentions of business entrepreneurship in students. From university, entrepreneurship education for students is as method to improve motivation that can encourage intention to entrepreneurship.
