Abstract
Video on Demand (VoD )merupakan jenis dari Video Streaming dengan sistem video interaktif yang memungkinkan pengguna untuk dapat memilih video yang ingin disaksikan. Untuk dapat diaplikasikan, Layanan VoD membutuhkan suatu akses jaringan dengan bandwidth 2 Mbps sampai 9 Mbps. Salah satu jenis akses jaringan yaitu WiMAX standar IEEE 802.16d menawarkan bandwidth hingga 100 Mbps sehingga VoD dapat diaplikasikan. Pada skripsi ini akan dibahas analisis Quality Of Service (Qos) layanan Video On Demand (Vod) pada jaringan Testbed WiMAX Standar IEEE 802.16d. Parameter QoS jaringan yang diamati saat layanan VoD diaplikasikan yaitu delay, Packet Loss, dan throughput. Untuk mendekati kondisi jaringan yang sebenarnya, dilakukan variasi beban trafik dan jenis resolusi yang digunakan adalah resolusi 360p, 480p, dan 720p. Kualitas layanan Video on Demand (VoD) bedasarkan delay, Packet Loss, dan throughput menunjukkan nilai berbeda. Nilai rata-rata throughput tertinggi untuk resolusi 360p saat pengujian dari semua metode schedulling yang digunakan yaitu 0,76 Mbps dengan delay sebesar 9,07 ms,dan Packet Loss sebesar 0,00%. Untuk resolusi 480p nilai rata-rata throughput tertinggi adalah 1,25 Mbps dengan rata-rata delay sebesar 6,71 ms dan rata-rata Packet Loss sebesar 0,03%. Pada resolusi video 720p nilai rata-rata throughput tertinggi adalah 2,18 Mbps dengan rata-rata delay sebesar 4,73 ms dan rata-rata Packet Loss sebesar 0,66%. Berdasarkan rekomendasi standar ITU-T G.1010 dan G.114, Layanan VoD pada jaringan Testbed WiMAX IEEE 802.16d telah memenuhi standar.
English Abstract
Video on Demand (VoD) is a type of Video Streaming with an interactive video system that allows users to be able to select the video they want to watch. To be applicable, the VoD Service requires a network access with bandwidth of 2 Mbps up to 9 Mbps. One type of network access called WiMAX IEEE 802.16d standard offers bandwidth up to 100 Mbps so VoD can be applied. In this thesis we will discuss Quality Of Service (Qos) service of Video On Demand (Vod) on Testbed WiMAX Standard IEEE 802.16d. The network QoS parameters observed when the VoD service was applied were delay, Packet Loss, and throughput. To approach the actual network conditions, variations of traffic loads and the types of resolutions used are 360p, 480p, and 720p resolutions. The quality of Video on Demand (VoD) service based on Delay, Packet Loss, and Throughput shows different values. The highest throughput value for 360p resolution during testing of all scheduling methods used was 0.76 Mbps with delay is 9.07 ms, and Packet Loss is 0.00%. For 480p resolution the highest throughput average value is 1.25 Mbps with average delay is 6.71 ms and average Packet Loss is 0.03%. At 720p video resolution the highest throughput average value is 2.18 Mbps with average delay of 4.73 ms and average Packet Loss is 0.66%. Based on the recommendations of the ITU-T G.1010 and G.114 standards, the VoD Service on the IEEE 802.16d WiMAX Testbed network meets the standards.
