Abstract

Desa Pademawu merupakan salah satu desa yang terdapat di Kabupaten Pamekasan, Madura. Mayoritas masyarakat pada desa tersebut sebagai peternak bebek. Perilaku peternak yang kurang baik dapat mengakibatkan suatu resiko penyakit yang disebut swimmer itch. Berdasarkan masalah tersebut dilakukan penelitian untuk mengetahui hubungan perilaku peternak dengan resiko swimmer itch akibat parasit yang ditemukan pada feses bebek (anas platyrhynchos) dan air kubangan kandang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif analitik observasional dengan kuesioner. Sampel yang diambil dari 10 kandang berupa feses bebek dan air yang diperiksa dengan metode Kato-katz dan sedimentasi. Berdasarkan uji korelasi rank spearman didapatkan probabilitas 0.000 (p < alpha 5%) yang berarti bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara perilaku peternak dengan resiko swimmer itch. Koefesien korelasi sebesar -0.880 berarti bahwa semakin baik perilaku peternak, maka resiko swimmer itch semakin rendah, begitu juga sebaliknya.

English Abstract

Pademawu Village is one of the villages in Pamekasan, Madura. The majority of people in the village lived their life as duck breeders. Improper breeder behavior can lead to a risk of a disease called swimmer itch. Based on the problem, the research was conducted to find out the relationship of breeder behavior with the risk of due to parasite that found on duck feces (anas platyrhynchos) and water cage. The method used in this research is descriptive analytic observasional with questionnaire. Samples taken from 10 cages in the form of duck feces and water which examined by Kato-katz method and sedimentation. Based on Spearman rank correlation test obtained 0.000 probability (p < alpha 5%) which means that there is a significant relationship between breeder behavior with the risk of swimmer itch. The correlation coefficient of -0.880 means that the better the breeder behavior, the lower the swimmer itch risk, and vice versa.
