Abstract
Depresi merupakan kondisi psikologis yang umum ditemui pada pasien stroke. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi terjadinya depresi adalah efikasi diri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara efikasi diri dengan kejadian depresi pada pasien stroke di Rumah Sakit Tingkat II dr. Soepraoen Malang. Rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan Cross Sectional Study. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Jumlah sampel yang dianalisa sebanyak 82 responden. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar kuesioner efikasi diri berdasarkan Stroke Self Efficacy Questionnaire dan lembar kuesioner depresi berdasarkan Beck Depression Inventory II. Hasil penelitian diperoleh sebagian besar responden memiliki efikasi diri sedang yaitu sebanyak 41 responden (51%). Sebagian besar responden juga mengalami depresi sedang yaitu sebanyak 31 responden (37,8%). Analisa data menggunakan uji Spearmen rho dengan tingkat kemaknaan α < 0,05 didapatkan hasil nilai koefisien korelasi negatif (-0.819) dengan nilai p=0,000 yang berarti terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara efikasi diri dengan kejadian depresi pada pasien stroke dengan kekuatan hubungan sangat kuat dan arah hubungan negatif dimana semakin tinggi efikasi maka kejadian depresi semakin rendah, atau sebaliknya jika efikasi diri rendah maka kejadian depresi makin tinggi. Dari penelitian ini disarankan kepada pasien stroke untuk lebih menanamkan efikasi diri atau keyakinan terhadap kemampuannya dalam menjalankan aktivitas kehidupan sehari-hari sehingga mampu mengurangi kejadian depresi.
English Abstract
Depression is a common psychological condition in stroke patients. One of the factors that influence the occurrence of depression is self efficacy. This research aimed to determine the relationship between self efficacy and depression incidence in stroke patients at Second Level of dr. Soepraoen’s Hospital Malang. The design of this research was Cross Sectional Study. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Eighty two respondents were analyzed. The instrument used was self-efficacy questionnaire based on Stroke Self Efficacy Questionnaire and depression questionnaire based on Beck Depression Inventory II. The results showed that most respondents had self efficacy on moderate level were 41 respondents (51%). Most of the respondents also experienced moderate depression were 31 respondents (37.8%). The data were analyzed using Spearmen rho test with significance level α <0,05 found negative correlation coefficient value (-0.819) with value p = 0,000 which mean there is significant relationship between self efficacy and depression incidence in stroke patient with very strong relationship strength and the direction of a negative relationship mean when self efficacy is higher then incidence of depression is lower, or if self efficacy is lower then the incidence of depression is higher. This research suggested to stroke patients for inculcate self efficacy or confidence in their ability to perform activity daily living to reduce the incidence of depression.
