Abstract
Remaja adalah masa peralihan yang ditandai dengan tahap pencarian jati diri. Hal inilah melatarbelakangi remaja untuk mulai merokok. Remaja seringkali beranggapan perilaku merokok sebagai identitas diri untuk memberikan kesan tidak kolot, dewasa, gagah, dan berani. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif korelative dengan metode Cross sectional. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan kuesioner. Jumlah responden sebanyak 148 dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data yang diperoleh diolah dengan statistik dengan menggunakan uji Chi Square. Berdasarkan hasil analisa diperoleh bahwa dari 148 responden penelitian, sebagian besar usia remaja laki-laki yang merokok di SMK Canda Bhirawa Pare Kediri yaitu 16 tahun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 53,7% memiliki identitas diri baik, dan 46,6% memiliki identitas diri buruk. Sedangkan untuk perilaku merokok diperoleh sebanyak 37,16% memiliki perilaku merokok ringan, 27,7% memiliki perilaku merokok sedang dan 35,1% memiliki perilaku merokok berat. Ada hubungan antara identitas diri dengan perilaku merokok pada remaja laki-laki (p value <0,05). Disarankan untuk perawat dapat menjadi edukator dan konselor sebagai strategi keperawatan yang diberikan kepada guru dan orang tua dalam mencapai identitas diri remaja yang baik, sehingga mengurangi perilaku merokok remaja
English Abstract
Adolescent is a transitional period characterized by a stage of self identity. In this case, represent them start to smoke. Sometimes they thought that smoking become their self-identity to make an impression of not being dumb, mature, gallant, and brave. This research has used correlative-descriptive with cross-sectional method. And the data collecting was done by questionnaire. And the total respondents were 148 with purposive sampling technique. The data was earned and statistically be processed using Chi Square test. Based on the analysis result, that was obtained from 148 research respondents, the average age of male adolescents who had smoked in SMK Canda Bhirawa Pare Kediri starting on 16 years old. And the research showed that 53.7% of them have good self-identity and 46.6% have bad self-identity. While for the smoking behavior was earned as much as 37.16% have mild smoking habit, 27.7% have moderate smoking habit, and 35.1% have severe smoking habit. There is a correlation between self-identity with smoking behavior in male adolescent (p value <0.05). The result of this research are suggested for the nurse to be educator and counselor as a nursing strategy given to teachers and parent in achieving good self identity, thus reducing adolescent smoking behavior.
