Abstract
Pada ekosistem laut yang kompleks terdapat rantai makanan yang sangat bergantung pada produsen primer, fitoplankton. Keberadaan plankton di ekosistem laut sangat dipengaruhi oleh parameter oseanografi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari parameter oseanografi terhadap kelimpahan plankton di wilayah fishing ground Utara, Timur dan Selatan Perairan Jawa Timur. Titik pengambilan data dilakukan secara purposive sampling yaitu pada wilayah fishing ground Perairan Mayangan, Muncar dan Puger, Jawa Timur. Data yang diambil adalah parameter oseanografi dan plankton yang nanti akan diamati menggunakan metode Sedgwick Rafter Counting Cell. Analisis statistik yang digunakan pada penelitian ini ada dua macam, yaitu clustering dan principal component analysis (PCA). Hasil yang diperoleh untuk parameter oseanografi yang diukur masih sesuai dengan baku mutu air laut kecuali kekeruhan. Kelimpahan zooplankton dan fitoplankton ditemukan cukup melimpah pada ketiga perairan dengan keanekaragaman zooplankton dan fitoplankton tergolong sedang, kecuali pada Perairan Mayangan yang memiliki keanekaragaman zooplankton stabil, tingkat keseragaman antar genus tergolong merata dan tidak ditemukan dominansi pada tingkat genus di ketiga perairan. Parameter yang berkorelasi positif terhadap kelimpahan fitoplankton adalah konsentrasi klorofil, turbiditas, salinitas dan oksigen terlarut, sedangkan terhadap kelimpahan zooplankton adalah derajat keasaman, oksigen terlarut, salinitas dan kelimpahan fitoplankton. Parameter yang berkorelasi negatif terhadap kelimpahan fitoplankton adalah suhu dan derajat keasaman, sedangkan pada kelimpahan zooplankton adalah suhu dan turbiditas.
English Abstract
In complex marine ecosystems there are food chains that rely heavily on primary producers, phytoplankton. The presence of planktons in marine ecosystems is strongly influenced by oceanography parameters. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of oceanography parameters on plankton abundance in fishing ground Northern, Eastern and Southern of East Java. The point of data collection is done by purposive sampling located in fishing ground Mayangan, Muncar and Puger, East Java. The measured data are oceanography parameters and plankton which will be observed using Sedgwick Rafter Counting Cell. Statistical analysis used in this study are clustering and principal component analysis (PCA). The results, oceanography parameters measured are still in accordance with sea water quality standards except turbidity. The abundance of zooplankton and phytoplankton was found to be quite abundant in three waters with zooplankton and phytoplankton diversity being moderate, except in Mayangan waters which have stable zooplankton diversity, evenness among genus are uniform and no dominance is found at the genus level in the three waters. Parameters that correlated positively to phytoplankton abundance were chlorophyll, turbidity, salinity and dissolved oxygen, whereas to the abundance of zooplankton is the power of hydrogen, dissolved oxygen, salinity and phytoplankton abundance. Parameters that negatively correlated to phytoplankton abundance are temperature and power of hydrogen, whereas in zooplankton abundance are temperature and turbidity.
