Abstract

DAS Rejoso memiliki sumber mata air yang digunakan masyarakat bernama Umbulan yang berada di Desa Umbulan, Kecamatan Winongan, Kabupaten Pasuruan, Jawa Timur. Saat ini, kebutuhan masyarakat terhadap mata air Umbulan diperkirakan mencapai 4.500 liter/detik, akan tetapi kebutuhan masyarakat terhadap mata air umbulan tidak terpenuhi karena debit mata air Umbulan mengalami penyusutan menjadi 3.200 liter/detik. Diperkirakan berkurangnya debit mata air disebabkan karena berkurangnya resapan air yang ditandai dengan perbedaan ukuran pori, kontinuitas dan kemantapan pori serta dipengaruhi perbedaan penggunalan lahan karena terjadinya peningkatan populasi manusia yang menyebabkan kebutuhan sosial dan ekonomi masyarakat meningkat. Adanya perbedaan penggunaan lahan ini berdampak terhadap iklim mikro, karena pohon yang ditebang menyebabkan tajuk tegakan semakin terbuka, menurunnya bahan organik tanah, berat isi meningkat, infiltrasi, porositas dan kemantapan agregat menurun dan tanah semakin padat. Kemantapan agregat berhubungan dengan struktur tanah, apabila mengalami kerusakan, maka laju makroporositas dan infiltrasi menurun serta limpasan permukaan mengalami peningkatan. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini ialah menganalisis hubungan kerapatan vegetasi terhadap kemantapan agregat dan porositas tanah Latosol dan Andosol. Serta menganalisis kemantapan agregat dan porositas tanah Latosol dan Andosol. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari- Juni 2017 di DAS Rejoso Kabupaten Pasuruan, Jawa Timur dan Laboratorium Jurusan Tanah, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Brawijaya. Pada penelitian ini, dilakukan analisis ragam dan uji lanjut menggunakan Duncan. Selanjutnya, dilakukan uji korelasi dan uji regresi menggunakan Microsoft excel. Parameter yang diamati berupa tekstur, C-organik, kemantapan agregat, makroporositas dan porositas total. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, kerapatan vegetasi tidak berpengaruh terhadap kemantapan agregat Latosol dan Andosol, sedangkan kerapatan vegetasi berpengaruh terhadap jumlah makroporositas Latosol dan Andosol. Selain itu, kerapatan vegetasi berpengaruh terhadap jumlah porositas Latosol, tetapi tidak berhubungan dengan porositas Andosol. Secara umum, kemantapan agregat, makroporositas dan porositas tertinggi didapatkan pada tanah Andosol. Adapun, tekstur, C-organik dan kerapatan vegetasi tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemantapan agregat Latosol dan Andosol. Selain itu, tekstur, C-organik, dan parameter lainnya tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap makroporositas akan tetapi, pada Latosol berat kering seresah dan kerapatan vegetasi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap makroporositas sedangkan, pada Andosol hanya kerapatan vegetasi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap makroporositas. Sedangkan, pada Latosol, hanya kerapatan vegetasi yang berpengaruh signifikan terhadap porositas, akan tetapi pada Andosol semua parameter tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap porositas.

English Abstract

DAS Rejoso has a spring which is used by a society called Umbulan which located in Umbulan Village, Winongan District, Pasuruan Regency. Currently, the Umbulan society‟s need for the Umbulan Spring is estimated at around 4500 liter/second, but it was unfulfilled because the spring‟s debit was having a depletion to 3200 liter/second. The depletion was caused by the reduction of infiltrated water which can be seen by the difference in the size of the pore, continuity and stability of the pore, and also affected by the differences of land use because of the increasingly human population which increased the needs of social and economic activity of the society. This difference in the land use is affecting the micro-climate, because of the cutted trees causing more opened land with no trees, the reduced amounts of organic matters, increased density, reduced infiltration, porosity, and stability aggregate, and the soil becomes more solid. The stability aggregate is related to the structure of the soil, which if it‟s damaged, then the macroporosity and infiltration is reduced and also increasing the surface runoff. The goal of this research is to analyze the relation of the vegetation cover to the stability aggregate and the porosity of the Latosol and Andosol, and also to analyze the stability aggregate and the porosity of the Latosol and Andosol of the DAS Rejoso. This research was done on January to Juny of 2017 on DAS Rejoso, Pasuruan Regency, and the Laboratory of Soil Science of the Faculty of Agriculture, Brawijaya University. The ANNOVA and the Duncan Method for the further testing was done on this research and the correlation and regression test with Microsoft Excel was done after that. The parameter which observed in this research was the texture, C-Organic, stability aggregate, macroporosity, and the porosity. According to the result of the research, the vegetation cover was not affecting the stability aggregate of the Latosol and Andosol, but it is affecting the amount of the macroporosity of the Latosol and Andosol. In the total porosity, there is a difference between the relation of the vegetation cover to it, which is the vegetation cover affects the total porosity of the Latosol, but it did not affect the porosity of the Andosol. In general, the highest stability aggregate, macroporosity and porosity was found on the Andosol. The texture, C-Organic, and the vegetation cover did not significantly affects the stability aggregate of both Andosol and Latosol. Also, the dry weight of the litter and the vegetation cover significantly affects the macroporosity of the Latosol, if compared to the other parameters. But on the Andosol, only the vegetation cover affects significantly to its macroporosity. And for the porosity, only the vegetation cover affects to the porosity of the Latosol, and not one of the parameters significantly affects the porosity of the Andosol.
