Abstract
Tanah lempung ekspansif merupakan jenis lempung yang memiliki sensitifitas tinggi terhadap perubahan kadar air sehingga sifat kembang susutnya juga besar. Jika kandungan airnya besar maka tanah ini akan mengembang dan mengakibatkan berkurangnya daya dukung sebaliknya jika kadar airnya berkurang maka tanah akan menyusut dan daya dukungnya meningkat. Penelitian ini dilakukan perbaikan tanah lempung ekspansif dengan menggunakan metode deep soil mixing berpola triangular dengan diameter kolom 4 cm yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan nilai daya dukung. Metode deep soil mixing merupakan metode pencampuran dengan bahan aditif pada tanah untuk meningkatkan stabilitas tanah dengan tebal atau kedalaman tanah tertentu. Jenis aditif yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah fly ash hal ini dikarenakan penambahan fly ash pada tanah ekspansif mampu meningkatkan daya dukung tanah. Pada penelitian ini digunakan 9 variasi jarak dan panjang kolom berupa variasi jarak antar kolom L (4, 5, 6 cm) dan variasi panjang kolom Df (5, 10, 15 cm). Hasil dari stabilisasi tanah lempung ekspansif menggunakan metode deep soil mixing berpola triangular dengan diameter kolom 4 cm memberikan peningkatan nilai daya dukung hingga 156% dari daya dukung tanah asli. Stabilisasi dengan bahan aditif 15% fly ash pada metode DSM berpola triangular dapat mengurangi nilai pengembangan (swelling) seiring dengan meningkatkan volume tanah yang distabilisasi. Prosentase tanah sebesar 30, 63 % telah mampu menghentikan pengembangan (swelling) tanah asli.
English Abstract
Expansive clay is a type of clay that has a high sensitivity to changes in water content so so that this land has the trait to swell and shrink also high. If the water content is greater then the land will expand and result in reduced carrying capacity otherwise if the water content is reduced, the soil will shrink and the capacity increased. This research was carried out repairs expansive clay using a triangular patterned deep soil mixing columns with a diameter of 4 cm which aims to increase carrying capacity. Deep soil mixing method is a method of mixing with additives to the soil to improve soil stability with a certain thickness or depth of soil. Types of additives used in this study is fly ash this is because the addition of fly ash on expansive soil can improve soil bearing capacity. In this study used nine variations of distance and length of the column in the form of variations in the distance between the columns L (4, 5, 6 cm) and the column length variation Df (5, 10, 15 cm). The results of the stabilization of expansive clay soil deep mixing using a triangular pattern with a diameter of 4 cm column provides increased carrying capacity of up to 156% of the carrying capacity of the native land. Stabilization with additives of 15% fly ash on a triangular patterned DSM method can reduce development value (swelling) in line with the increasing volume of soil stabilized. Percentage of land amounting to 30, 63% have been able to stop the development (swelling) native land.
