Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan ukuran butir sedimen setiap wilayah di Teluk Grajagan. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan sebanyak lima titik dengan menggunakan metode stratified random sampling pada tiga stasiun, dimana stasiun A berada di dalam laguna, stasiun B berada di muara dan staisun C berada di Teluk Grajagan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa, tinggi gelombang pada Teluk Grajagan berkisar mulai dari 0,17 - 0,41 m dengan ratarata tinggi gelombang 0,3 m. Kecepatan arus pada laguna dan Teluk Grajagan berkisar mulai dari 0,08 - 0,89 m/s dengan rata-rata kecepatan arus 0,377 m/s. Rata-rata ukuran butir terkecil berada pada staisun A, yaitu sebesar 0,098 mm dengan jenis sedimen pasir berlumpur. Stasiun B memiliki rata-rata ukuran butir sebesar 0,376 mm dan rata-rata ukuran butir terbesar berada pada stasiun C, yaitu sebesar 0,42 mm dengan jenis sedimen pasir sedang. Berdasarkan diagram Hjulstrom didapat semua titik pengambilan sampel berada pada bagian Erosion and Transport kecuali pada titik A3, A4 dan A5.

English Abstract

This research were aimed to known about the difference of grains size in every zone at Grajagan bay. Samples were collected from 5 sampling sites in 3 different zones with stratified random sampling method. Zone A was located in lagoon, zone B was located in estuary and zone C was located in Grajagan bay. The result showed that, the wave height was from 0.17 until 0.14 m and the average of wave height was 0.3 m. The current velocity in lagoon was from 0.08 until 0.89 m/s and the average of current velocity was 0.377 m/s. The smallest average of grain size was at zone A which was 0.098 mm and the sediment type was silty sand. The average of grain size at zone B was 0.376 mm and the average of grain size at zone C was 0.42 mm, the sediment type was medium sand. Based on Hjulstrom diagram, almost all the sampling sites were in the Erosoin and Transport section except A3, A4, and A5 sites
