Abstract
This research entitled "The influence of leadership and work environment on the performance of apparatus (study at Natural Resources Conservation Agency of Riau). Exogenous variables in this study are Autocratic Leadership, Democratic Leadership, Physical Work Environment and Non Physical Work Environment. Endogen Variables are Work Target Employee and the intervening variable is Work Behavior. This study aims to determine the influence of variable of autocratic leadership, democratic leadership, physical and non physical work environment on the work behavior. The influence of variable of autocratic leadership, democratic, physical and non physical work environment on the work target employee. The influence of work behavior on the work target employee and the influence of variable of autocratic leadership, democratic, physical and non physical work environment on the work target employee through work behavior. The background of this research sees that performance of employee including work behavior and work target will be good if supported by leadership and a good work environment. The type of research conducted is or explanatory research using hypothesis test with quantitative approach. Population in this research is all staff of Natural Resources Conservation Agency of Riau, with 52 people. The data analysis used is descriptive analysis and path analysis. In analyzing using SPSS 21 for windows program. The results of this study indicate that in the first path model, the variable of autocratic leadership, democratic leadership, physical work environment, nonphysical work environment have a positive and significant influence on the work behavior. In the second path model, the autocratic leadership, democratic leadership, Non- physical work environment have a positive and significant influence on the work target employee, but physical work environment has a positive and insignificant influence on the work target employee, then the work behavior has a positive and significant influence on the work target employee. On indirect influence, autocratic leadership has positive and significant influence on the work target employee through work behavior, but democratic leadership, physical work environment and Non-physical work environment have positive and insignificant influence on the work target employee through work behavior.
