Abstract

Keberadaan industri gula di Indonesia memegang peranan penting bagi masyarakat Indonesia dan sektor industri lainnya. PG Kremboong adalah salah satu PT Perkebunan Nusantara X yang mengolah tebu hasil penanaman sendiri (TS) dan tebu rakyat (TR). Produksi utamanya adalah Gula dan hasil samping berupa ampas tebu, tetes dan blotong. Proses produksi di PG Kremboong pada tahun 2006 sampai 2016 mengalami kondisi yang fluktuatif yang mengakibatkan proses produksi tidak berjalan efisien sehingga perlu dilakukan pengukuran tingkat efisiensi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi variabel input dan output yang mempengaruhi DMU, mengetahui tingkat efisiensi proses produksi serta memberikan perbaikan nilai efisiensi untuk proses produksi yang inefisien. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengetahui tingkat efisiensi produksi adalah metode Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). DEA adalah teknik berbasis program linier untuk mengukur efisiensi unit organisasi yang dinamakan Decision Making Units (DMU). DMU pada penelitian ini terdiri dua produk yaitu Gula dan tetes. Ada dua variabel yang mempengaruhi DMU yaitu, variabel input meliputi bahan baku, biaya produksi, jumlah jam produksi, jumlah tenaga kerja dan variabel output meliputi pendapatan, hasil produksi dan harga pokok penjualan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses produksi di PG Kremboong secara keseluruhan belum optimal dengan nilai efisiensi keseluruhan yaitu 96,72% kondisi (amber). Nilai ini didapatkan dari rata-rata nilai efisiensi DMU 1 dan DMU 2 yaitu 94,77% dan 98,67%. Rekomendasi perbaikan pada proses produksi DMU 1 dan DMU 2 yang inefisien dengan mengontrol serta mengawasi kinerja proses produksi berdasarkan variabel input yang meliputi bahan baku, biaya produksi, jumlah tenaga kerja, jumlah jam kerja maupun variabel output yang meliputi pendapatan dan hasil produksi.

English Abstract

The existence of the sugar industry in Indonesia plays an important role for the people of Indonesia and other industrial sectors. PG Kremboong is one of PT Perkebunan Nusantara X which is processing sugarcane from self-cultivation (TS) and sugar cane (TR). Its main production is Sugar and byproducts are bagasse, drops and blotong. The production process at PG Kremboong in 2006 until 2016 has fluctuated condition which resulted in the production process not running efficiently, so efficiency level measurement is needed. The purpose of this research is to identify the input and output variables affecting DMU, to know the efficiency level of the production process and to give improvement of efficiency value for inefficient production process. The method used to determine the level of production efficiency is the method of Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). In the DEA method, the identified thing is called DMU (Decision Making Units). DMU in this study consists of two products namely Sugar and drops. There are two variables that influence DMU that is, input variables include raw material, production cost, number of hours of production, the amount of labor and output variables include income, production and cost of goods sold. The results showed that the production process in PG Kremboong as a whole was not optimal with the overall efficiency value of 96.72% condition (amber). This value is obtained from the average value of the efficiency of DMU 1 and DMU 2 that is 94.77% and 98.67%. Recommendations for improvement in the production process of DMU 1 and DMU 2 are inefficient by controlling and supervising the performance of the production process based on input variables which include raw materials, production costs, number of labor, number of working hours and output variables including income and production.
