Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan struktur komunitas makroalga dan interaksinya dengan faktor abiotik di Pantai Sendang Biru. Lokasi penelitian ditentukan menurut purposive random sampling berdasarkan keberadaan makroalga dan variasi aktivitas manusia. Data diambil di tiga stasiun pengamatan (pelabuhan, TPI dan tambak) dengan tiga ulangan pada lima plot berukuran 1x1 m². Faktor abiotik yang diukur meliputi pH, konduktivitas, turbiditas, DO, suhu dan salinitas. Data struktur komunitas makroalga dianalisis menggunakan program Microsoft excel dan PAST. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada lokasi pelabuhan ditemukan kodominansi makroalga Halimeda sp. (50 %) dan Padina sp. (48 %), sedangkan di TPI dan di tambak secara berurutan didominansi oleh Calithamnion sp. (125 %) dan Hypneae sp. (93%). Nilai kekayaan taksa dan indeks diversitas makroalga paling tinggi ditemukan di perairan sekitar pelabuhan yang memiliki kekeruhan yang tinggi dan substrat berpasir. Perairan di tambak memiliki nilai DO rendah dan konduktivitas tinggi dengan kekayaan taksa di antara kedua lokasi.
English Abstract
Aims of this research were to determine the structure community of macroalgae and their interaction with abiotic factors in Sendang Biru. Observation was taken by purposive random sampling in three stations under variation of macroalgae presence and anthropogenic activities. Data were collected from all stations (port, TPI and pond) by three transects and five replications and using plots of 1x1 m². Simultaneously we recorded the abiotic factors measurement such as water pH, conductivity, turbidity, dissolved oxygen, temperature and salinity in each station. Result of the study showed that macroalgae in the port was codominated by Halimeda sp. (50 %) and Padina sp. (48 %). However, in the TPI and pond they were respectively dominated by Calithamnion sp. (125 %) and Hypnae sp. (93 %). Taxa richness and Shannon-Wiener diversity index were higher in the port, but water turbidity value was higher. While in the pond water showed a lower dissolved oxygen and higher conductivity, however the taxa richness ranged between both locations.
