Abstract
Hiperlipidemia adalah suatu kondisi terjadinya peningkatan lemak dalam darah, salah satunya yaitu LDL. Lemon dan jeruk nipis mengandung hesperidin yang dapat menghambat HMG Co-A reduktase sehingga dapat menurunkan kadar LDL (Low Density Lipoproteins). Penelitian ini memakai jeruk nipis karena harga jeruk nipis lebih murah, ketersediaan di pasar melimpah, dan untuk memaksimalkan sumber daya alam di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan kadar LDL pada tikus yang diberi High Fat Diet dengan pemberian perasan lemon fino, dan jeruk nipis. Penelitian ini menggunakan 32 tikus putih jantan galur wistar yang dikelompokkan menjadi 8 kelompok perlakuan, yaitu: P0 HFD, P1 HFD+statin, P2 HFD+perasan lemon 1 ml/kgBB/hari, P3 HFD+perasan lemon 2 ml/kgBB/hari, P4 HFD+perasan lemon 3 ml/kgBB/hari, P5 HFD+perasan jeruk nipis 1 ml/kgBB/hari, P6 HFD+perasan jeruk nipis 2 ml/kgBB/hari, P7 HFD+perasan jeruk nipis 3 ml/kgBB/hari. Kadar LDL post test diukur menggunakan spektrofotometri. Data LDL dianalisis dengan One Way ANOVA dan Kruskal Wallis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan antar kelompok perlakuan pada kadar LDL post test (p=0,151). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah tidak terdapat perbedaan pada kadar LDL yang diberikan perasan lemon dan jeruk nipis.
English Abstract
Hyperlipidemia is a condition where lipid level in the blood increases, one of them is LDL. Lemons and limes contain hesperidin which can block HMG Co-A reductase, so they can lower LDL (Low Density Lipoproteins). This experiment uses lime because lime is cheaper than others, there is a surplus of lime in the market, and to maximize usage of natural resources in Indonesia. The aim of this study was to determine a comparison of LDL in rat fed with High Fat Diet, Fino Lemon, and Lime. This study used 32 male rats of wistar strain that divided them into eight groups.They were HFD, HFD+statin, HFD+1 ml/kgBW/day of lemon water, HFD+2 ml/kgBW/day of lemon water, HFD+3 ml/kgBW/day of lemon water, HFD+1 ml/kgBW/day of lime water, HFD+2 ml/kgBW/day of lime water, HFD+3 ml/kgBW/day of lime water. LDL level of post test were measured by using spectrofotometri, then those LDL level data were analyzed by One Way ANOVA and Kruskal Wallis. The results showed that there weren’t difference between on each treatment groups at LDL level post test (p=0,151). The results can be concluded that there aren’t difference between LDL level which was added with a few drops of lemon and lime water.
