Abstract

Pengetahuan dan sikap ibu dapat mempengaruhi MP ASI. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan suatu metode pendidikan gizi untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu tentang MP ASI. Salah satunya dengan menggunakan media website dan media booklet. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan perubahan tingkat pengetahuan dan retensi pengetahuan ibu baduta tentang MP ASI melalui media edukasi website dan booklet. Desain penelitian menggunakan desain quasy experimental study dengan pendekatan pre-test and post-test design (n=50). Variabel yang diteliti adalah tingkat pengetahuan dan perubahan pengetahuan ibu baduta tentang MP ASI pada kelompok website dan booklet berdasarkan nilai pre-test, post-test pertama, dan post-test kedua. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan ibu baduta tentang MP ASI sebelum (pre-test) dan sesudah pemberian edukasi gizi (posttest pertama) melalui media website (p=0.001) maupun booklet (p<0.001). Peningkatan pengetahuan juga terjadi pada saat sebelum (pre-test) dan satu minggu sesudah pemberian edukasi gizi (post-test kedua) dengan menggunakan media website (p=0.002) dan booklet (p<0.001). Namun, tidak ada perbedaan peningkatan pengetahuan antara kedua kelompok. Kesimpulan yang bisa diambil adalah bahwa pemberian edukasi gizi melalui media website maupun booklet dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan. Akan tetapi media website lebih bisa diakses oleh masyarakat luas dimana saja dan kapan saja dibandingkan dengan media booklet.

English Abstract

Complementary feeding can be conduct by the mother’s knowledge and attitude. Hence, it is necessary to nutrition education method to improve the mother’s knowledge about complementary feeding. One of the methods is giving the education through website and booklet. This quasi experimental study aims to identify knowledge alteration and retention regarding complementary feeding through website and booklet. Quasi experimental study is used with a pre-test and post-test design approach (n=50). The analyzeed variables include the knowledge level and the differences of knowledge alteration of under two years old children’s mother about complementary feeding on website and booklet groups according to the pre-test, the first post-test, and the second post-test. The result showed that there is an enhancement of mother’s knowledge before (pretest) and after the giving of nutrition education (first post-test) through website (p=0,001) and booklet (p<0,001). It also happens before (pre-test) and one week after the giving of nutrition education (second post-test) through website (p=0,002) and booklet (p<0,001). However, there were no differences of knowledge enhancement between the two groups. It can be concluded that the giving of nutrition education through website and booklet can improve knowledge. However, the website is more accessible by the people anywhere and anytime than the booklet.
