Abstract
YouTube dapat menjadi pilihan yang efektif dan menarik untuk pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris. Penelitian survei ini dilakukan untuk menyelidiki persepsi siswa tentang penggunaan YouTube untuk pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris pasca pandemic. Peserta berjumlah 88 orang siswa kelas dua di salahsatu sekolah menengah pertama negeri di Batu. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan cara mengelola pertanyaan langsung kepada siswa. Penemuan ini menyatakan bahwa YouTube efektif, menarik, dan memotivasi untuk membantu para siswa belajar Bahasa Inggris pasca-pandemi di kelas. Oleh karena itu, disarankan agar guru Bahasa Inggris mengajar Bahasa Inggris melalui YouTube di kelas mereka. Selain itu, juga menyarankan agar peneliti di masa yang akan dating menyelidiki apakah persepsi siswa tentang penggunaan YouTube akan berbeda dengan gaya belajar mereka
English Abstract
YouTube can be a preferable media for effective and engaging English learning. This survey research was conducted to investigate the students’ perceptions on the use of YouTube to learn English post-pandemic. The participants were 88 second-grade students in one of the public junior high schools in Batu. The data were taken by administering the questionnaire directly to the students. The findings revealed that YouTube was effective, attractive, and motivating to help the students learn English post-pandemic in the classroom. Thus, it is recommended that English teachers teach English by means of YouTube in their class. Moreover, it is also suggested that future researchers investigate whether the students’ perceptions on the use of YouTube will differ across their learning styles.
