Abstract
Kabupaten Majalengka merupakan salah satu sentra produksi bawang merah di Pulau Jawa. Kabupaten Majalengka memproduksi bawang merah sebesar 323.292 ton dan menempati posisi kedua setelah Kabupaten Cirebon dengan 403.265 ton. Produktivitas bawang merah di Kecamatan Argapura mengalami penurunan di tahun 2020 hingga 2021, produktivitas bawang merah di tahun 2020 sebesar 11,56 ton/ha sedangkan di tahun 2021 produktivitasnya hanya 8,25 ton/ha. Oleh karena itu untuk mengetahui kesesuaian lahan tanaman bawang merah agar mendapatkan produktivitas yang lebih tinggi maka perlu dilakukan penelitian lebih lanjut mengenai faktor apa saja yang dapat mempengaruhi produktivitas tanaman bawang merah di Kecamatan Argapura, Kabupaten Majalengka. Penelitian dilakukan di Desa Argalingga, Argamukti, Cibunut, Cikaracak, Gunungwangi, Haurserah, Heubelisuk, Sadasari, Sukasari Kaler, Sukasari Kidul dan Tejamulya yang berada di Kecamatan Argapura, Kabupaten Majalengka. Penelitian dilakukan pada tanggal 6 Juni–22 Oktober 2022. Analisis spasial dan pemetaan dilakukan di Laboratorium Sistem Informasi Geografis, Departemen Tanah, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Bawijaya. Analisis Laboratorium dilakukan di laboratorium Departemen Ilmu Tanah dan Sumberdaya Lahan, Fakultas Pertanian, Institut Pertanian Bogor. Evaluasi kesesuaian lahan tanaman bawang merah di Kecamatan Argapura dilakukan dengan evaluasi lahan secara fisik, evaluasi lahan dilakukan dengan cara membandingan karakteristik lahan dengan syarat tumbuh bawang merah yang mengacu pada Petunjuk Teknis Evaluasi Lahan untuk Komoditas Pertanian. Untuk karakteristik lahan ditentukan melalui survei tanah di lapang dan analisis laboratorium. Evaluasi lahan tanaman bawang merah dilakukan dengan metode matching data tanah dan fisik dengan tabel kesesuaian lahan berdasarkan syarat penggunaan lahan tanaman bawang merah. Kelas kesesuaian lahan yang diperoleh dari 18 SPL berbeda memiliki kelas kesesuaian lahan N dan S3. SPL 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 dan 18 masuk dalam kelas N. SPL 7 dan 9 masuk dalam kelas S3. Faktor pembatas yang menjadi penghambat dalam produktivitas bawang merah adalah kelerengan, drainase, tekstur, KTK, C-Organik, N-Total dan P Tersedia. SPL 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 dan 15 memiliki faktor pembatas kelerengan >15%. SPL 4, 16 dan 18 memiliki faktor pembatas drainase yang cepat dan tekstur yang kasar. SPL 7 memiliki faktor pembatas. C-Organik, N-Total dan P Tersedia. SPL 9 memili faktor pembatas P Tersedia dan kelerengan. Pemberian bahan organik merupakan salah satu upaya perbaikan dalam meningkatkan kandungan KTK, KB, pH, C-Organik, N-Total, P Tersedia dan K Tersedia.
English Abstract
Majalengka Regency is one of the shallot production centers in Java. Majalengka Regency produced 32,3292 tons of shallots and was in second place after Cirebon Regency with 40,3265 tons (BPS Java West, 2018). Shallot productivity in Argapura District has decreased from 2020 to 2021, shallot productivity in 2020 is 11.56 tonnes/ha while in 2021 its productivity is only 8.25 tonnes/ha. Therefore, in order to determine the suitability of shallot land for higher productivity, it is necessary to carry out further research on what factors can affect shallot crop productivity in Argapura District, Majalengka Regency.The research was conducted in one of the lands in Argapura District, Majalengka Regency. This research was conducted from 6 June 2022 to 22 October 2022 . Spatial analysis and mapping were carried out at the Geographic Information System Laboratory, Department of Soil, Faculty of Agriculture, the activities included field surveis, morphological observations and soil descriptions. Laboratory analysis was carried out in the chemistry and physics laboratory, Department of Soil, Faculty of Agriculture. The research was conducted in the villages of Argalingga, Argamukti, Cibunut, Cikaracak, Gunungwangi, Haurserah, Heubelisuk, Sadasari, Sukasari Kaler, Sukasari Kidul and Tejamulya which are in Argapura District, Majalengka Regency. The research was conducted on June 6 – 22 October 2022. Spatial analysis and mapping were carried out at the Geographic Information Systems Laboratory, Department of Soils, Faculty of Agriculture, Bawijaya University. Laboratory analysis was carried out in the laboratory of the Department of Soil Science and Land Resources, Faculty of Agriculture, Bogor Agricultural University. Evaluation of land suitability for shallots in Argapura District is carried out by evaluating the land physically, land evaluation is carried out by comparing the characteristics of the land with the conditions for growing shallots referring to the Technical Guidelines for Land Evaluation for Agricultural Commodities. Land characteristics are determined through field surveys and laboratory analysis. Evaluation of shallot planting land was carried out by matching soil and physical data with the land suitability table based on the conditions for shallot crop land use. Land suitability classes obtained from 18 different SPL have land suitability classes N and S3. SPL 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18 are included in class N. SPL 7 and 9 are included in class S3. The limiting factors that inhibit shallot productivity are slope, drainage, texture, KTK, C-Organic, N-Total and Available P. SPL 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 have a slope limiting factor of >15%. SPL 4, 16 and 18 have the limiting factor of fast drainage and rough texture. SPL 7 has a limiting factor. C-Organic, N-Total and P Available. SPL 9 has the limiting factor P Available and the slope. Giving organic matter is one of the improvement efforts in increasing the content of CEC, KB, pH, C-Organic, NTotal, Available P and Available K.
